I found myself remembering Scott Peterson parked near SF Bay watching the searchers.

Maybe FD is packed and loaded for a Canadian vacation since he, like Scott, knows exactly what's coming next.

NCPD is so efficient they probably have a bungee cord hooked to the back of whichever vehicle FD has left.

yes, I was watching a real crime show last night and they discussed using a knife as a weapon and said it's common for the perp to cut himself
in the process because knives twist and turn when going in and usually the perp has sweaty
palms when killing someone. It also showed
and discussed blood spatter from the knife wounds and the repeated stabs a violent perp
uses when doing this. They also discussed the
psychological reason a perp stabs when killing
and they all fit FD. Personal, up close, rage, anger, revenge.

I think it may have been to make it look like a sexually motivated killing by someone in the low income neighborhood they found the trash.

Whatever the issue with the clothes, I think it was totally practical.

He had just killed his wife, and his life and freedom were on the line. Time was of the essence, and any symbolism or need for degradation would probably have been much lower on his list.

He already got his revenge when he saw the terror in her eyes as he (likely) stabbed her to death.

No reason to make this any worse, especially when it seems unlikely at best. He had a body to get rid of, and evidence of the cleanup.

Priorities.

That's not being a wuss; it's a form of self-preservation! But maybe it will help if you reframe it as no matter what happens, it's a sign of LE still looking and not giving up! Every null finding still gives us valuable information like crossing one place off the list. Or not! MOO!

HaHa! I love that show. I have a daughter in Montana - so I frequently visit. That's why I started watching it. Train station yep!
