I definitely saw mention of it being a tip and didn't think about it. You're right, something must have been slipped before the gag order. Question - gag orders don't cover the media, right?

Anybody think that Markowitz no longer has the documents requested? Can it be possible that he no longer has them and doesn’t want to admit it? Would he dare to have discarded them when the firm was dissolved? In any event, it’s BS that he should be compensated for retrieving documents that he solely manages. It isn’t the plaintiff’s (GF) fault that he is disorganized and doesn’t know what he did with them. The copying may be a different matter, since it’s common to bill for the copying of stuff like that. If I recall, the plaintiff’s attorney offered to copy them.

I did not read the specific order but my guess is that LE won't be releasing anything so there is nothing for the lawyers to talk about in the media - which is left reporting nothing but re-hashing of old information IMO

It was revealed early on the reservoir is connected to his backyard. A cameraman who is at the scene now tells us that they're not searching in the water but around it ..

Maybe they're re-searching in the area where MT pointed out to LE behind the house early on.

Here's the interesting question IMO... A gag order was asked for weeks ago, and issued AFTER today's arraignment from what I understand (please correct me if I'm wrong). Also after the arraignment, we suddenly have a huge police presence at the reservoir, somewhere they're been to twice before .

Fingers crossed.

I hope the LE find Jennifer, or anything that will lock FD up. Think MT is singing like a canary while saying the rosary?

Does anyone have any ideas of how to obtain the ruling by Judge Blawie that was issued today in Criminal Court? Whatever was done doesn't appear to just be a 'gag' IMO but trying to understand what is going on and how to refocus.

What really irks me the most about this case is how grossly incompetent and corrupt the New Canaan Police are. I grew up very close to New Canaan, and to this day I know that their top priority is, and has always been breaking up house parties and getting kids in trouble for underage drinking. Perhaps the police should be answering this.... How many kids between the ages of 16-20 got underage drinking citations this summer? How many parents got arrested because their son or daughter had their college friends over to play beer pong in the basement? Not to mention, a year or two ago there was an incident with football players from the rival town. In October, two of the rival town's star players (one was QB) got into a fight with a non-football player from New Canaan, who immediately pressed charges the day after. All parties were questioned within a few days of the incident, everyone cooperated.

Sure enough, arrest warrants were sent out OVER a month later, the night before Thanksgiving Day, also known as the biggest game of the season for New Canaan and the rival team. The two kids were arrested, and were not able to play in the game. Interesting enough how if the warrants were served a day earlier or later, everyone would have been able to play. Also would like to point out that the New Canaan Chief of Police's son happened to be on the New Canaan Football Team when the incident occured!

And yet a mother of five who is terrified of her estranged husband mysteriously vanishes, and 3.5 months later, we still have no body, no murder charges, and no justice?

Doesn’t say it was called in. Just a tip. Could be from MT. Unless there is some other statement? Also the gag order only applies to the parties in the case (prosecution and defendant) not to reporters. And I don’t think the gag order prevents reporting of facts. Just statements of opinion etc. but I could be wrong.

The state police are driving this investigation IMO. Joint task force. Major crimes unit.
