I’ve recently been following the Suzanne Morphew case in Colorado. Her “disappearance” is pretty similar to this case (husband allegedly killed her & no body found & dumpsters involved). Suzanne’s “disappearance” allegedly took place on Mother’s Day the year AFTER Jennifer’s and is now finishing up preliminary hearings early this week.

Does anyone know why Jennifer’s case is taking so long to get to the preliminary hearing phase for these two co-conspirator’s? Colorado’s justice system experienced COVID delays, so I’m a little befuddled. Of course there were a few “bumps” in the road in this case (FD took his own life in order to avoid the inevitable, attorney replacements by MT etc), but wow . . . let’s get the show on the road. Justice for Jennifer, please!!!

I am following that case also. I've read that the right to a "speedy" trial when pleading not guilty in CT is within 12 months, and in CO is within 6 months. Covid definitely played a role in this as it's been far more than 12 months. I too am frustrated by this. MT was Radio silent for a bit until 5 days ago.

Right-which means she is once again, outside of CT, where she and her lawyer claim she has many significant community ties. I say this because MT has been spending much of her time in Miami, and because I doubt her former coach (who as MT said “brought her to stardom”), had any business in CT. My guess is that they met up in Miami

Why do I feel it’s all about the money now? Lawyers are “ circling the wagons”. I feel LE are trying hard but it’s all about the money for the lawyers. I could be so wrong on this but….

I really hope that R Colangelo and the rest of the prosecution team haven’t lost their desire to see these two, but especially MT, in prison.

I believe the state charges on probable cause as presented by LE and a warrant signed by prosecutor and issued by judge. But I won't mind being corrected if I'm not right. Then the accused can ask for a probable cause hearing. I think most of them waive the pc hearing bc if the state presents its case for probable cause, then the defense will have to counter it, thereby revealing its strategy. MOO
