The judge used the words juror. With the care and time they took to vet the jury this seems unusual. Feels like very junior high behavior coming from adults.

edit to add : I can understand why a juror may want to get off this case - Attorney JS alone would have me digging my fingernails into my thighs to restrain myself. But you have a responsibility and duty. If you don't want to serve on a jury you can get off easily enough on the front end.
I agree with whomever posted above about penalties being levied for jurors who act in this fashion

Not like this was incidental or accidental either.

If this doesn't disrupt the trial now, it still won't be without effect. Jurors dropping like MT's gum on a city sidewalk. We'll run out of jurors before JS runs out of blather.

It's time for the Judge to take full control of his courtroom.

They are coming across to me anyway, as <modsnip> young-ish, and unable or unwilling to follow instructions.

I think the judge will be able to question the remaining jury members (and alternates, or is there only one at this point?) to determine whether they are in fact tainted, so be able to rule on a motion for mistrial.

Let's hope they are not.

If the defense gets a do-over, they have now seen and can anticipate a week of the State's case. That is a gained advantage.

This is horrific. Perhaps the Judge is going to have lock this jury crew up in local hotel with no computers for the duration as it sounds like there is no discipline. Hope we see a motion to sequester from State to protect the trial and justice.

Then imo the idiot isn’t paying attention to the plot being established here and frankly case will be improved by their dismissal. Enraged that this is allowed to play out. Lock the jury up in hotel as alternates are now gone iirc!

So weird - the first one dismissed said something construed as favorable to the state/ this one can be viewed as favorable to Troco - both in the court of public opinion.
Honestly if I were the court I might shut down the live
aspect and put it all behind closed doors at this point.

Shutting down the live feed won't impact jury integrity IMO. Shutting the jury off from media will.

Anxious to hear how the Judge handles this.
