He was a hunter running down his prey.
Must be awful for her mother and friends to be seeing this.

Horrific to say but if the early blows were with the knife then that could have brought her to bend at waist and gradually move towards the floor as she could no longer stand. Monster.
If he was using such an instrument and in that area of her body as I described, the t-shirt and bra recovered from Albany Ave will likely confirm that.

Still, I do wonder what type of instrument was used to cause the delivery of the light-colored "specimen" to the underside of the passenger side of the Range Rover, as testified to a day or so ago. (The specimen that was delivered to the ME.). I'd think something with more heft than a knife, or if with a knife, a very savage blow.

Did JS really refer to it as spLatter?

sigh

My guess is some kind of blunt object that had a longer handle to reach under vehicle. Hammer? Garden Hoe? Short heavy shovel? Mallet? Something along those lines imo could have done it possibly.

Yes, that winner is going on the bingo card as I'm sure we shall hear it again. Judge looked at him at the time with a very PUZZLED LOOK!

I'm muting this and gonna just follow here.
Can't take.
MOO.

[MOO I believe that the witness testified that the original convergence model was rendered impossible by virtue of the Suburban.

Therefore, IMO, there were a minimum of two blood events low to the ground.

I picture him tackling her to the ground and then using a knife, accounting for the blood moving upward under the car.

Regardless this witness paints a dire picture of JFd's last moments.]

No longer hearing the loud annoying translator. Maybe they moved a microphone or something?

[I missed most of cross. I'll catch up, at least for myself, later.]

Davison is excused.

Next witness called.

Starting off with a sidebar.

I wonder if the translator was distracting for MT making it hard for her to listen in English.

Is staying in the state of Connecticut still required? According to this article, the only non-financial condition of her release (besides surrender of her passport) is that she cannot contact KM:

Thanks, Diddian.

I didn't see any evidence of an attack on the driver's side of the Suburban she would've exited. Davison said the orientation was that the Suburban was parked in the left bay facing forward, meaning she would've exited at the wall. All the apparent spatter Davison is testifying to seems to me like multiple events between the Suburban and Land Rover ranging in height and perhaps even one more under the Land Rover.
I am not at the computer anymore but I thought there was blood spatter on the passenger side of the suburban - hence the comment that blood could not travel through the suburban over to Range Rover so two sites? Also spatter on undercarriage and rear bumper of suburban. Did I get that wrong? Possible. Maybe he will wrap it up with his report today ? I was working at the same time.

That was referring to blood spatter on the ground. There was blood spatter in areas A, B, and C of the mapping that was used to determine the area of convergence and origin. This is almost exactly where the Suburban was, so I would imagine there were two events at least - one that matches the area of origin for the inital, higher hit (~40"), then at least one more lower to account for upward spatter. There was also spatter on an undercarriage, but I am unclear if it was the Land Rover, Suburban, or both.

And definitely also supposed to be working, so I'm a few minutes behind on the trial at this point!

Next State's witness

Sgt Matrosta (sp) [ Potreska? VanTreska?I'm guessing.] Connecticut State Police, called in to assist because the CSP had the manpower NCPD didn't have.

Assisted with missing person canvas.

Received information from FD handset. Location data placed his handset (cellphone) in the area of Albany Avenue in Hartfort, 7-7:10pm.

Hartford is a high crime area so witness wanted to canvas that area.

Cursory canvas of residences 4J and 80 MS just drove by and observed. 80 MS, piece of property that FD had up for sale and the handset showed activity in that area.

Canvassing the area of Farmington near properties known to be FD's (4JC and 80 MS Rd), LE discovered a camera in pillar at street end of driveway at a home* on the west side on Eli Rd (just S of Jefferson Crossing).

*Edited to remove specific address.

Sgt testifying about seeing a camera at an address [I won't state the address], video was seized by LE.

Now we're seeing photos of 80 MS, witness indicated recalling a large Fore Group for sale sign at the drive.

Now we're moving on to Albany Avenue in Hartford, cursory canvas. Looking for a missing person, looking for cameras, to create leads for detectives.

Witness testifies searching for surveillance cameras. To return after MDW to view video.

Witness is testifying to searches done -- associated properties, LE data bases, social media, vehicles owned, registered or associated.

Witness just said "We were also looking for Jen Dulos."

Jen Dulos.

Hits it home for me.

Do we know why TP on cross is permitted to not ask questions and instead effectively testify to the Jury? I'm a bit behind but I'm not hearing any objections on this situation which imo is unacceptable.
