Do we have any press tweeting on breaks?
None that I can find. Marisa Alter/Channel 12 who has been live blogging announced today she is going on a 10 day vacation and won't be posting. Stunned me as she has been on this case without fail from the day JF first was declared missing. Can't find any other press commentary.

Ope, we had one word of audio. Anyone want to place bets on who it sounded like?

It would appear we are finally actually back.

No explanation of the delay. Testimony beings 45 mins late past the 2pm end of lunch break.

  • #827
Or, not. All I heard was JAS saying "that..." and now back to nothing.
You're a couple of minutes behind then, we've got a Sgt with state police on the stand.

MOO

If this delay is from the Defense over the next witness or any witness, I hope the Judge's ruling is definitive, and when court goes live, the trial can proceed without constant objection.

The Judge might never tire of them, but I do.

MOO

TROCONIS CASE: Another issue with a juror.
One juror says he grew up with the current witness on the stand, a state police sergeant.
The judge allowed the juror to stay because he says he had no real relationship with the witness, although their dads were friends

We're back live.

Witness is referencing an interview with LA

Witness canvassed, searched for video, reviewed video and look at items recovered.

Witness met with Josh Quinn, crime analyst (who testified this morning).

TP seems to want no verbal descriptions from witnesses even though witness processed the related evidence.

  • #833
This cannot be going over well with the jury.
MOO.

  • #834
If I were a juror on this trial, I would think this evidence is pretty important with all of the objections every minute by JS.…something the defense obviously doesn’t want to come in.

Keep on JS….

  • #835
At some point, the repeated objections and attempts to so narrowly confine the testimony of the witness as to the characteristics of the large, black, rectangular, flexible item apparent in the video just make JAS look terrified as to the IMPORTANCE of that item.

Witness watched videos. Witness knew what FD looked like and MT as well. Witness identifies MT in court.

MT was described to him as tall, middle age, slender brown hair.

State asks witness if he reviewed the video and saw a weathertek mat.

Defense objects on several grounds. Sustained for leading.

Witness is asked what he sees in the video.

Defense objects. Jury can decide for themselves.

Court overrules. Jury needs help identifying items. He allows.

Witness identifies contractor style black bags from his vehicle, a black mat consistent with a floor mat type liner.

Witness also identifies the male matching the general description of FD. State asks about the black item.

Flurry of Defense objections.

Sustained. As the Witness made his determination based on the video AND other information.

State asks witness if he's familiar with weathertek liners. He responds with his general knowledge.

Defense objects. Court overruled. Allows Witness to share what he knows about weathertek.

Witness is describing the final stop of the male consistent with the description of FD.

Witness describes object with orange and blue which he could zoom in on.

Now we're seeing video of that stop again.

TP is basically waving a bright red flag and saying don’t look here to the jury! Imo he is doing this also to fluster the witness and imo that is unacceptable.

  • #838
It's like he is screaming DO NOT LOOK AT THAT ITEM. An act which motivates someone to focus intently on that very item.

Bet she hated being referred to as middle-aged.

This judge seems to have a real aversion to side bars
