What is the Judge thinking? As the State indicated, everything in that trash is relevant. Did the Judge think that, since there's no testimony of bloodlike substances, the keys aren't relevant?

I'm stunned. They might prove MOST relevant! I hope they will come back in, via another witness.

Shocking. Hope they come in another way. Could be key to storage locker etc. possibly related to secondary scene. Moo

Witness is IDing trash bags. Seized it because they were relevant because the suspect had discarded trash bags. Unusual because it was knotted in the middle.

Witness seized all the black trash bags that were recovered.

JS asks if there are any white trash bags in this evidence envelope. JS wants to clarify precisely what's in the evidence bag.

State represents that anything extraneous would be from further testing and noted on the evidence bag.

JS again articulating he'll object to anything in addition to the knotted trash bags.

Defense and State are handling multiple evidence bags. Witness is reviewing his notes, 4 pieces of trash bags were collected, packaged together.

Evidence bag has not been opened.

JS clarifies with witness that four pieces were seized.

No objection from the Defense.

It appears there were possibly smaller evidence bags contained in the larger bag. [Confusing.]

State is only entering the knotted bags into evidence.

State is displaying a large black trash bag. And now a second one, from its own evidence bag.

State is showing the first bag to the witness, appears to be another bag within it, unreported.

Witness IDs a black trash bag in photo [looks unused].

Paper towel with bloodlike stains on it (from garbage bin at Albany/Green).

LA testified as to 10 rolls of paper towels missing from JFD's pantry. But, we've seen only this paper towel, a few paper towel pieces left on the floor of the garage, and what looks like an item wrapped in a paper towel taken from a white plastic bag by an individual rooting through one of the garbage bins on Albany Ave before LE started their recovery from bins.

Where did the huge volume of paper towels that would represent 10 rolls go?

Editing my own post to add that FD in his Raptor reportedly turned left on Albany Ave onto Milford St (where there is a McDonald's restaurant) shortly after the beginning of his travel down Albany Ave and then the Raptor reappeared 7 minutes (IIRC) later back on Albany Ave traveling E toward Hartford. Does anyone remember if there was surveillance that captured the approximate number of bags in the bed of the pickup BEFORE the turn to Milford, and then again AFTER?

Witness IDs a cloth with a bloodlike substance.

Witness IDs trash bag with vegetation in it. Found it out of place and thought it might be relevant. Was sent for additional agriculture testing.

Witness IDs two pieces of cloth with bloodlike substance.

(They're referring to these items as cloths and paper towels.)

Smaller grocery store type bags.

That’s a great question! That’s potentially hundreds of sheets that haven’t been found Maybe if they find JD’s remains they’ll find the paper towels . They could have been possibly used to absorb blood while transporting, moving her etc ☹️imo
How can that thing just sit there with a straight face, no reaction. Some people are just monsters.

Witness IDs razor blade. Seized it as relevant because it had a bloodlike substance, it was broken and it had a hair-like fiber.

JS asks whether it's a razor blade or a scraper or boxcutter.

No objection.

Admitted into evidence.

To my untrained eye, the boxcutter/scraper with the broken blade looks commercial grade compared to a household one. Just an observation.

I buy big rolls and they are 135 sheets a roll (the smaller, "pick-a-size" sheets). So, 10 rolls (if they buy same brand and type as me) would be 1,350 sheets.

But, the McDonald's restaurant proximity interests me as bags full of bloody paper towels in the dumpster of a restaurant that handles a lot of raw hamburger might not strike anyone (likely an employee) who comes across them as unusual. Even a bloody odor might not attract interest.

Witness IDs a screwdriver. Seized because of a bloodlike substance on it.

No objection, admitted.

Witness is IDing a photo depicting a bra with a bloodlike substance.

Referencing Photo 7, a black bag which contained the bra and shirt.

Witness explains he seized it because of the bloodlike substance, was aware of a missing woman and an assault.

JS objects, overruled.

Witness IDs long sleeved striped shirt with a bloodlike substance seized from the same bag.

OMG that bra was originally white?!

The bra and shirt are saturated with blood.

Jesus wept.

The defendant's respiration is notable in her chest. She turned to her phone and started typing on it.
