I'm either not impressed with this judge or with the way courts are run in CT. In other states, so much of this would have been worked out pretrial. Plus these "hypotheticals" where supposed evidence is snuck in would never be allowed.
Your view imo is sadly correct on both counts. We have a judge issue and a court process issue unfortunately. Case imo wasn’t ready for trial and was rushed with the result being what we are sadly witnessing. I am simply incandescent.

TP getting the Suburban wrong was encouraging as it absolutely speaks imo to lack of preparation. Just need state to immediately jump on the errors of which I expect many more and Jury will get the message as to TP ability to get things down properly.

This latest report on potential juror misconduct is absolutely appalling and disgusting. It may lead to a need for sequestration? It also seems the judge needs to obtain and retain control on this process and court? And charges or sanctions for contempt seem possible?

I think someone asked what is the age and demographics on the jury and alternates? This would be interesting to know. In some local cases here, judges are quite clear what is not allowed. Wonder what is occurring there in CT?

The presence of ‘SM’ in our society is IMO leading to a downfall and decline in norms and behavior and conduct, and our overall health and well-being. I like to acknowledge and quote a local Philadelphia FOX & WIP 94.1 sports news reporter Howard Eskin. He states words to the effect that ‘SM is not social and it is not media’. I cannot disagree with him at all.

Sure hope this judge and court can real this deal in before it is too late. For justice of JFD. MOO

Mark Davison, Connecticut State Police, blood pattern analysis

Responded to Welles

Davison testifies that blood stains lent themselves to reconstruction or partial reconstruction. He documented these.

He describes how investigators worked through the night.

  • #406
Davison testifies that he looked at a Range Rover in the garage and the Suburban, in the LE garage, and photographs.

State asks about altered stains.

One type, a wipe.

Another, perimeter stain.

Another, a swipe

And a transfer stain

  • #407
Davison testifies to altered stains in the garage.

We're seeing photos of the garage

Expert testifies to characteristics of a swipe. Identifying characteristics within several photos.

[MOO it's a real shame FD is not here to see these photos. ]

  • #409
Expert is identifying a transfer stain on the garage door.

Also indicates swipe.

Kind of surprised JS is not objecting, would have thought he'd consider this junk science too....

  • #411
Expert is testifying to a wipe and swipe in a particular stain. Describes multiple alterations to a stain.

Not testifying to one drip stain. Which tested positive for blood. Describing an area near the garage stairs. 4 drip stains. Perimeter stain as the center part was removed (could have dried, could have flaked) but the perimeter remains.

I've been waiting for spatter testimony, hoping it provides some answers as to what happened in that garage that day.

  • #413
Expert is now referencing a long thin stain. Elliptical stain.

Lunch recess until 2:20.

  • #414
Lunch break.

We have had approximately 1 hour of witness testimony so far. Hopefully the remaining jurors can make it through lunch without someone screwing up.

Court will resume at 2:20pm

Thank you so much, @Megnut for your summaries!! I appreciate you so very much!

  • #416
Can someone clarify for me how many jurors are left? Three alternates... but how many seated? I thought six... but that seems low.
