The nanny does not live with the family, so her "shift" would not have started until pick up time from school. It is not clear when the kids were brought to their grandmother's apartment, before or after the report was made at 7pm on Friday. It is possible that when they were unable to locate her, the grandmother requested they be brought to her.

Perhaps Jennifer had a plan for the nanny to follow. Even if she didn't expect to encounter foul play, as a "single" mom, she likely had a plan for the nanny in case of car accident or other delays - the nanny likely knew what to do if Jennifer didn't show up when she was supposed to. I'm grateful for that nanny!

Exactly what I was thinking. I'm sure he told his mistress bad stories about his wife, but to actually MOVE INTO HER HOUSE WHILE THE WIFE AND KIDS ARE STILL THERE is incredibly cruel. My opinion.

It’s funny. These guys are living the high life up until the divorce proceedings start, and then they are suddenly “broke.”

It’s quite remarkable.

You’d be amazed at how “high on the hog” some people can live, without the money to back it up. I work for a family like this in North Salem NY-2 Mercedes Benz with a Range Rover that is only there to pull their horse trailer, horses, private school, etc...and sometimes she’s dodging the veterinarian’s calls about a balance due, or dreading an emergency blacksmith call. These are definitely all first world problems, of course, but my point is that whatever your income is, you pretty much spend all of it, and even rich people are always on the verge being one month away from financial “disaster”. And they have things structured so that it looks like they have nothing in case of divorce or a lawsuit. This guy may only have some assets to sell in a case of divorce, putting him out of business. Some of his things may be leased, and so he can’t sell them to split up the money. You get the picture...

It has been reported that FD wanted his children to be excellent at water skiing. Does he own a boat? Where did they practice this sport? There must have been somewhere local because they would have to practice whenever the days were warm enough. If he has a boat where is the marina?
Actually, I guess I should be asking are there marinas on these local bodies of water or are they down on Long Island Sound? If he doesn't own a boat would he have access to one?

Not alot of water sking is Long Island sound for a variety of reasons. CT has a number of lakes where people water ski. Will have to research whether its allowed in the State Park lakes as IDK. The water in CT doesn't really get warm until late June but maybe they ski with wetsuits to stay warm.

Yes, and given the neighborhood, I will be absolutely shocked if there are not multiple exterior home security cameras up and down both sides of that street.

I have absolutely no doubt LE has been ringing every doorbell on that street asking for any and all security footage.

We heard the other day that the Farmington Police were part of the process and assisting. Hopefully they will explain the situation when/if there is a press conference. Has anyone local seen the STBX or his live in GF since this story broke?

The article with the first reference to blood was the Hartford Courant local paper. Wonder if it was an unintentional or intentional leak from LE? Or, if its a red herring? I trust the Hartford reporting and I don't they would have printed the info without proper confirmation as they are an 'old style' traditional newspaper in the best sense of the word IMO.
