Looks like they were staying at the Marriott as they most likely couldn't go into any of the houses.

Away from her children? Seems telling to me, they were hunkered down, worried sick and wanting it to go away. If you didn't have anything to hide wouldn't you have been with your kids (I'm talking about the girlfriend)? It's also interesting that they weren't allowed to turn themselves in, they were arrested and taken to two different places. LE knows a lot, imo.

Could it be they were both arrested and then got out on bail and then went to the Marriott in Avon?

Couldn’t go to their home because of the warrant & search at Jefferson house?

MOO
They had probably already checked in and then were arrested. I don't think they are out on bail.

OMG. You are a brave girl! I lived in CT for many years so am familiar with all the different towns. I totally get what you are saying. I have a feeling FD is shaking in his boots and feeling quite vulnerable.

I dunno. He strikes me as the type where everything is unfair and everyone is against him. I doubt he is fearful. He seems to have the tendencies of a narcissist and they are never wrong, or scared. Just more energy for raging at the "insults" he has "suffered"

In walking distance to some fine eateries.
I'm guessing they probably didn't have much of an appetite.

According to his business website, he has a home there on Sturbridge Hill Rd. in New Canaan that his company just finished. Wonder if they will search there.

Don’t they still have to pony up $50,000 to get out of jail? He says he is destitute, so he doesn’t have it, and I doubt she does. I guess one of the houses he ows could be collateral, unless there are contractor’s liens on them already; plus JD’s mother is suing him for around $2mil. I am not sure he really has any collateral to get a 10% bond from a bail bondsman. My question is why is the girlfriend in the New Canaan lockup? What was she doing down there? I haven’t heard of any connection she might have in New Canaan. Maybe she cleaned up the blood in Jennifer’s house?

They may only have to come up with 5K, or could be total bond. The judge decides. Still, I would think he would have 50K, but who knows. Not sure about her.

I have thought that Jennifer may have been lured to a location by her. A 'let's talk' and work this out thing.

He would have to post collateral or cash for bond. Very curious if the grandmothers legal team has mobilized to preclude him from using any of the properties that are part of the litigation in order to post the bond? The grandmother seems to have a solid legal and PR team and my guess is that they will be all over this issue and thus making it harder to post the bond. Wonder how long it would take to get some of the cash back from Greece/Cyprus/Caymans or Turkey? My suspicion is that more charges are on their way!

Law is rarely black or white, it is usually gray.
And there is a lot of it; law, that is.
When my husband was a 1L he came home one night from school and said "I never realized I had so much faith in humanity to lose!" The gray areas got to him at first. Still get to me. I'm much more of a black and white gal.

I wonder what her US immigration status is.

She certainly isn't a citizen. Is she here on a H1-b visa that he sponsored? Does he "employ" her.
Yes, she is the 'Manager of the Fore Group' per the company website.

Both Fotis Dulos and Troconis were charged with:

  • Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence
  • Hindering Prosecution in the First Degree
Chief Krolikowski did not elaborate on the circumstances as to why the two were arrested on those charges, but police have been searching local parks and multiple properties in Connecticut and Pound Ridge, NY looking for evidence in connection with Jennifer Dulos' disappearance.

Fotis Dulos and Jennifer Dulos were in the midst of a contentious, two-year-long divorce and custody battle at the time of her disappearance, and her mother and the estate of her late father sued Fotis Dulos for seven-figures worth of unpaid loans, according to court records.

The two are each being held in lieu of bail of $500,000, and they are expected to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on June 3. Fotis Dulos is being held at Bridgeport Correctional Center, while Troconis is being held at the New Canaan police station.

"Both the missing person and the criminal investigations are active and dynamic," Krolikowski stated. "As the criminal investigation progresses, additional criminal charges are expected."

It will be very telling if they can make bond. Also - I wonder if there is a money laundering aspect to this that he was very eager to keep hidden and they were closing in with JD and her attorneys pursuing his financial information so intently. MOO

Hmm. If convicted on this charge , she and her daughter may very well be deported and banned from re-entering the US. That's a lot of clout.

The poor children. Incredible trauma.

Are there still search teams at 80 Mountain Spring Road? Thinking about driving through there to see what’s going on...
Last I heard they were still at Mountain Spring and at Jefferson
Crossing.

Totally agree. But I am talking about being in a crummy jail. I bet he is scared s***less. MOO.

Is the woman in the photo Jennifer or the paramour?

I think it’s the side piece-Jennifer is much prettier, and remember, the side piece was working for The Fore Group
