Who is it that supervises these visits, when he sees the children for 6 or 7 hours at a time? A social worker? Does he have to pay the person who supervises? Just curious to know how it works.
It depends. When my father had supervised visits back in the 70's, his female roomate (non romantic) or another female friend had to be there and his boyfriend could not be (although several times he ignored that). I know of cases where the GAL was present, if CPS is involved often a social worker/case worker is present, sometimes another family member. That is usually something that is worked out between the parties and agreed to by the court. JMO

This is a nail-biter. I’m on the edge of seat waiting to hear what’s gonna happen here.

I wish for the the family's sake they would find her body as soon as possible. Dreadful.

It's so sad, but I would imagine these innocent players have been subjected to the stuff of nightmares for years, sadly. Their little lives had to have been constant chaos.
Even more heart breaking to ponder. I know this evil crosses all barriers, but to know they were surrounded by such luxury just blows me away. Appearances can be so deceiving.

Could it be they were both arrested and then got out on bail and then went to the Marriott in Avon?

Couldn’t go to their home because of the warrant & search at Jefferson house?

They were arrested at the Marriott not before. Bail hearing is Monday per news articles. They probably had to go to a hotel because they would not be allowed at any of the properties where there were warrants. JMO

I wonder if these charges have to do with moving her car and leaving it at the park to deceive LE. It always seemed to me that it took two people to put the car there and then the driver to be picked up.

I don't think so. I think her car was put there as part of the crime -- i.e., before the criminal investigation started. The current charges (tampering with evidence/hindering prosecution) seem to be based on actions allegedly taken after a criminal investigation started. JMO.

If she is dead, I'm holding out hope, how could someone be sooo STUPID as to think they can do away with a person they were acrimonious with and then go on their merry way! Gee I wonder who killed her, the creature from the black lagoon?! Even someone with a 5th grade education knows better than that.

And that would also engender charges of felony conspiracy to commit murder, at least for one of them, but more likely both.

I haven't heard anything about him hiring a criminal attorney. I wonder who is representing him. With his money issues would a regular (not a public defender) criminal attorney agree to represent him?
One of the articles posted this morning mentions a criminal attorney AND a divorce attorney regarding the questioning Friday night so I am guessing he has both. JMO

My guess is that the father planned to collect the children before authorities knew that Jennifer was missing and head for Argentina using Greek passports. I'm sure he realized that he would be the prime suspect, but he might have anticipated a window of time where he could flee with the children.

Jennifer and the nanny must have had a system where, if something didn't happen, the nanny took the children to the grandmother and notified friends so they could report her missing.

This is trivial, but I am not pleased that her missing case (& thread title) was listed as a SILVER ALERT. What the heck are the criteria?? Usually, it’s when granny or grandpop hits the road in the Plymouth.

This entire bond question is quite interesting IMO. Here you have this guy that has been pleading poverty for nearly two years, wasn't actively in development mode with Fore Group and was allegedgly stiffing people that worked for him, had lost 3 of his founding partners in the Fore Group being asked to pony up potentially a good chunk of cash for himself and his mistress. If he 'finds' the cash then the entire charade he has worked so hard to create legally over the past two years dissolves. He has a real dilemma.

My bet is he stays in jail to prove his poverty case for now but BPort is rough and he just might get desperate. I'm also curious if he assists to bail out the mistress? Or, can you imagine if he bails himself out and leaves her to fight her own fight? They aren't married so she is free to testify against him. Must be some interesting phone calls to atty's going on now. Wonder if the police have stopped the two from speaking to each other as well?
Is there a large Greek/Turkish community in the area? In my experience, Ethinic groups from that part of the world (My stepfather was from Serbia) are tightly knit so he may still have some friends willing to pony up the bail money if he can't or won't. HOWEVER, criminal charges are also a legal way the court can request they surrender any foreign passports and if he refuses (which he can do) then they can hold him. AFA the GF, he will leave her hanging if he thinks she talked. JMO

My guess is that LE pretty much knows what happened. They just
don't have the body, yet.
There will be more serious charges against him very shortly.
He won't be getting out anytime soon.

Does anyone know if FD's family members or friends from out of the country would be able to post bond? Is that allowed, or does one have to be in the US to do so?

Thanks. My thoughts also after I posted about going to the hotel after posting bail.

While they were at the Jefferson Ave house and before LE escorted them to the PD for questioning, FD went inside, changed clothes and threw an overnite bag into the back seat of his car (w/ Maryland plates).

When MT arrived with her daughter and the nanny, she went inside to get a bag for her daughter and then nanny & daughter left the property in another car (prolly MT’s car.)

They were probably all told they could not come back to the house because of the warrant and search by LE.

Now I think that after the questioning (separately I hope), FD and MT were allowed to leave the PD and then drove to the Marriott (car w/ MD plates seen there) and checked in.

After comparing notes after questioning FD and MT, LE later that night went to the Marriott and arrested them.

I’m still trying to figure out:
Were they taken to Avon PD in Litchfield County after the arrest?

Why was FD taken to Bridgeport Jail?

Why was MT taken to New Canaan jail? Evidence at the NC house? Was her DNA found there?

I know. I have been thinking about that too. It does defy logic. Cameras everywhere now!

I anticipate Traconis turning sympathetic. 'Poor me, I have been abused by him too' blah blah.

Don't forget that she knowingly dated this married man and broke up Jennifer's family. imo
That is what I expect as well. Also "He threatened me if I didn't help him" which may or may not be true. JMO

I think it was the only way to get LE to actively search for a missing adult.
