NEWTOWN, Conn. (WTNH) — Newtown police are asking the public for help in locating a woman that has been missing for several days.

Missing is Jessica Guay, 36, of Alpine Drive in the Riverside section of Sandy Hook.

Ms Guay is possibly driving a gray 2005 Saturn Ion auto with the Connecticut marker plate 252-SGR. She may be in the Danbury area, police said.

Her family obviously loves her very much, as both her parents and her boyfriend reported her missing apparently. Hope she comes home safe soon

She's definitely not a Sandy Hook shooting mom, there's no way any news outlet in CT would report on a missing person and not include that fact.

I suspect that substance abuse may be at play here given what the article said.

And I do hope they locate her soon.

She has contacted her family and is safe. No other details given in local news.

Lt. Aaron Bahamonde, a spokesman for the department, said the media coverage was instrumental in locating Guay, who called her family after seeing the coverage to tell them that she was okay
