A car belonging to Laelcira DeLima was located abandoned Tuesday afternoon at the Putnam Diner in Patterson, NY.

The car had apparently been there for some time before employees at the diner contacted police.

Lt. Chris Carroccio, a spokesman for the Danbury Police Department, said there is no “clear indication” at this point that foul play is involved in DeLima’s disappearance. Detectives are reviewing video footage from the diner and other cameras near the restaurant for information.

The diner in question is in Patterson, NY, not Paterson, NJ.

Hopefully she is found safe soon... it’s not looking good if her car was abandoned in NY. Did anyone at the diner recognize her?

If you look at a map, the little town the car was found at is on a common route to go from her hometown to Northeast New York. It's rural, but it's not so far away from where she lived that if she'd had car problems there she couldn't have called a family member.

but if she was going to see a family member, why would she have been reported missing?

I'm wondering if that area of NJ was familiar to Laelcira? Also, what was her state when she left her family members? Did she seem upset about something? etc. Too few details here.

Not Patterson, NJ. They're talking about Patterson, Putnam County, NY. It's one of the border towns next to Danbury.
