The autopsy report says Torres-Garcia had amphetamines in her system at the time of her death — drugs she was never prescribed, according to the medical examiner’s findings. According to the autopsy report, there was a single blueberry in the child’s stomach.
The medical examiner noted Torres-Garcia was 4’8” and weighed just 27 pounds. There were no signs of recent fractures or major trauma, but the report cited severe muscle atrophy and almost no body fat — findings consistent with prolonged starvation.
