Very sad.
Even if the officer wasn't severely injured -- it's the same as attempted murder or at least manslaughter.
The perp has to know that the LE could be paralyzed or killed.

There's not enough outrage for the people entrusted with our protection.

And Second Attempted Evasion from LE. Same Day.
After dragging & dropping the New London LEO on the pavement, the 25 y/o man drove away from the scene.
"... Police shared the vehicle description with area police departments, and a Groton police officer spotted the vehicle.... Dawson was also apprehended after a brief foot chase along the side of Interstate 95, police said...."*
Driving distance btwn the two cities is less than 10 mi. (~16 km).

Although LE said the 20 y/o female passenger initially gave a false name & DoB, she did not flee from second stop.
Groton, CT. LE took her into custody immed'ly, charging her w criminal impersonation & interfering w police.

The officer is very lucky his injuries weren’t more serious.

Maybe WS should have a section for "Crimes Against Police Officers".

Hopefully this will not become a trend.

Certainly several incidents in the last couple days!

Threads this morning for officer deaths in the line of duty for Gilbert, Arizona, and in Delaware.

This kind of thing means a great deal in the Laughing household.

Mr. Laughing's best friend is a state trooper. He was best man at our wedding and the kids call him "uncle."

Yeah, this means plenty here.
