Jim Ned High School is the only school so far I can find with the initials JNHS. It's in Texas. If someone has access to those yearbooks for 1917, now would be a good time to see if someone with the initials ILN exists.

I looked up the top 1000 names of the 1900's and enter all the ones that start with an I, nothing. It also seems that this is a website for alumni to sign up on. I don't think anyone from 1917 would be signed up. I checked on ancestry and found Yearbook for Jim Ned High School but mostly 76 graduates. I searched with initials, I will try further search tomorrow by Yearbook. Good Find dotr.

I am contacting a few folks on eBay asking jewelers who have vintage class rings if they ever come across a ring like this before.

I also sent an email to the Jewelers’ Security Alliance, the largest organization that deals with stolen jewelry. I sent them an image of the ring and the drawing. I hope they get back to me.

After hours of lurking I have found a ring very similar in look to hers

Instead of JNHS its JRHS

I have also tried to find cities/towns in America that contain the initials J N. I knew it would be a longshot but there are no places in America that have those initials.

I also thought that maybe JNHS has been gone for such a long time that no one living remembers it. Maybe it was renamed. My Googlefu is weak. I cannot find a list of closed schools in America. Perhaps it does not exist on the Internet.

I can confirm that it does not refer to Jim Ned. I sent an email asking for a list of 1917 graduates, and I was told that the school did not exist at that time.

Somewhere in this thread I mentioned (in different posts) two schools with the letters (JNHS or NJHS) one near Niagara NY another in CT, maybe? I think I ruled out the Niagara school but not the other. I felt (at the time) it was a good possible lead but I haven't found the post. Heck, maybe it was a New Jersey Junior High. All I remember is I worked on this case "a lot".

This case has has drawn me in over and over... I do research, let it go and find myself back again months later.

However, it's been greatly on my mind since I found out about a movie soon to be released about the 1975 Bonded Vault robbery. John Ouimette was involved (and he was once married to a RI public defender, Allegra Munson) who testified for the defense in the case against this killers of this UID and Carmichael. (See posts 509 +)

The bonded bank vault robbery is an amazing/crazy/actual event, and the movie "could be" a good one if you like that type of thing (it's definitely my thing!). But, also knowing that there are a couple of VERY minor links to this case has me anxiously awaiting the release.

Ding ding, starting to ring a bell. I need to go back and see if I posted anything about him a few years ago. I feel certain I did at some point. I know I googled the heck out of him when I was combing through the phone bill. Some of her calls were to a local publisher and at one point I kept chasing a dead end theory that he worked there. I'm glad to know what he did for a living. Interesting that some of her calls were also to TN. Didn't some of the people who knew her say that they thought she'd been a dancer, but in New York? Some took that to mean that she was an exotic dancer, but maybe she worked in his club. I REALLY need to dig back in and read the old posts. There is a lot of good information in them. Maybe she was from Tennessee and had some sort of introduction to him from people back home. At one point I found a school with the initials on the ring in the same area code as one of the numbers -- I think a middle school in West Virginia, not Tennessee, though.

My memory is so poor that tonight, as I was reading upthread about the escapes of Defreitas and Rory from the same prison, I thought, "Wow, that prison was like a sieve" and scrolled down to see that someone had written exactly that...and then realized it was me.

For those interested in searching schools... Skigirl's post above mentions a middle school in WV. And, when I came upon this older post, I remember a possible connection to CM Fox in WV. Maybe means nothing but I believe most of the calls on the phone bill were made by him. And, if these two knew each other before Carmichael entered the picture... Maybe it's of value.

In the movie I mentioned previously, Don Johnson plays the part of Gerard (the Frenchman) Ouimette... John Ouimette's brother. Munson is still alive... I wonder if she met our UID, or more likely she met Rainello/Civitelli.
