I would imagine that these 2 skeletons are from the same person... it seems like such an odd coincidence that there would be 2 separate skeletons found less than a month apart from women under 40, in such a small town. Hopefully, LE can test the bones somehow to determine.

Thompson is so small that it doesn't have its own police department. The Connecticut State Police, Troop D, handles that town.

I wonder if the "wooded area" where these female skeletal remains were found is the Quaddick State Forest? A male body was found there in Thompson in 2023. It's interesting that this got quite a bit of local news coverage but the 2 skeletal remain cases got nothing. I'm not finding anything about the male body ever being identified.

Body found in Quaddick State Forest in Thompson, officials say

THOMPSON — A male body was discovered in Quaddick State Forest Thursday morning, according to the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

The state agency said its Environmental Conservation Police are investigating with state police and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Officials said they were still trying to determine the person's identity.

“There is no threat to the public and it is believed to be an isolated incident,” said Paul Copleman, the media relations manager for DEEP. “The scene has been cleared and Quaddick State Forest is open.”

No further details were immediately available Friday morning, but DEEP will “share more information as we learn more,” Copleman added.

This is a developing story and will be updated when more information becomes available.

I regret to inform you that my cousin, Alicia, was identified as both this set as well as the other set from November. It is an active investigation, therefore I very much appreciate if discretion is kept to a degree. For instance, I am aware that it's public here but I would very much like there to be no posts on socials about it.

Her death is being investigated as suspicious, that's all I have for now.

So sorry for your loss and I hope your family is able to get justice.

@CarlK90245 Should this thread be updated to “identified”?

Alicia’s thread

If anyone could assist in potentially finding out more specifics about where in Thompson she was found, that would be very helpful. I have searched extensively and come up with nothing.
