HARTFORD, Conn. -- Police have charged a 22-year-old man with murder in connection with a deadly pizza shop shooting that was followed by a deadly car crash.

Ricardo Mack of Hartford also faces assault and reckless endangerment charges. He was held on $1 million bond.

Hartford police said they were questioning another man believed to be the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee that fled the scene and crashed into a car driven by 24-year-old Latywania Mundle.

She was killed instantly. Her father, Earl Mundle, spent Christmas planning her funeral.

Judge David Gold gave the family a start at closure when he sentenced Stringer, 23, of Hartford, to a 20-year-prison term, suspended after 12 years, and five years of probation.

Stringer had pleaded guilty to a charge of first-degree manslaughter, admitting that he caused the death of Latywania in a violent traffic accident that occurred after he and a companion fled the scene of a multiple shooting at Union Place.

A 24-year-old man has been given 90 years in prison for a fatal shooting in a crowded Hartford pizzeria on Christmas Eve of 2005.
