ALERT: a child resembling Vanessa Morales, seen on surveillance video at Bridgeport Hospital, was not the missing toddler. Bridgeport police contacted Ansonia police last night about the potential sighting. Detectives reviewed surveillance video showing a little girl with several other people at the hospital. Detectives were able to identify and make contact with the people in the video and found the toddler wasn’t Vanessa.

Four police cars are/were in Osborndale State Park (Derby) this morning 7am— very close to where Vanessa’s mother was murdered and to where the bloody clothes were dumped...police cars were marked New Haven, Derby, and East Windsor ; 4th could not be seen. My friend local to there says they announced they have K-9s and are performing a drill. I wonder if they are actually looking for poor baby V and I pray that family can get some closure soon. Obvi best case is for her to be found alive but that is looking less and less likely sadly almost impossible at this point.

ANSONIA, Conn. (WTNH) — It’s been more than 6 weeks since 1-year-old Vanessa Morales went missing from her Ansonia home in which police found her mother’s body, beaten to death.

Friends and family holding on to hope Tuesday that the little girl will be found alive.

New developments in the murder of an Ansonia mother and the disappearance of her one-year-old daughter.

Police also say Morales is the prime suspect in the disappearance of his daughter, Vanessa, who has been missing for over a month now.

Tuesday, a pair from the Diaz Task Force passed out flyers with Vanessa’s picture on them in downtown Ansonia, working to bring the little girl home.

Marissa and Alan say the task force has over 6,000 members, and that they have passed out thousands of flyers already with Vanessa’s face on them.

“We feel pretty confident that keeping her face in the news and on social media will definitely bring her home and back to her family.”

2,000 new fliers are being printed to help find 1 yr old Vanessa Morales, missing for 6 weeks from #Ansonia CT . PD says they'll issue an arrest warrant soon for her father, Jose Morales, the prime suspect in the death of Vanessa's mom, Christine Holloway.

I mean, I'm not expecting him to say where she is. He is a suspect and, as far as I know, he wasn't charged with anything regarding the mother's murder or the child's disappearance, so has nothing to gain from revealing where the baby is. Until he gets charged with anything regarding this case, I don't see him talking. Poor baby.

My thought is they did not uncover any evidence that she was killed so they can’t charge her murder but why not kidnapping ? I think they could make that leap IMO and what about the report where she was seen with a man ? Was that never proven ? Where can she be ?
