Hmm, this "press conference every day" thing really didn't pan out... I'm optimistic that maybe it's because they think they're close to breaking something? Wishful thinking?
It’s impossible to say, but you very well may be right.

Personally, I think all the answers lie with the man currently behind bars. I’m optimistic for a break, but pessimistic in regards to what that break will mean for Vanessa.

The crime seems to have been emotional, on account of the brutal violence that was inflicted. The post offense actions seem to indicate panic, in that putting bloody items in a donation bin is incredibly stupid.

My fear is that this was part of a pattern, one that culminated with Vanessa’s death. If she was alive, I think she would have been recovered by now.

I think this is likely to have been a double homicide.

Bloody material or clothing recovered connected to Holloway’s death originated in a clothes-donation bin across from 112 Derby Ave. Police searched the area Dec. 6. Derby police put out a message last week asking for anyone with home security footage from Division Street to Route 34 on the Orange town line call authorities at 203 503 5555.

Editor’s note: DO NOT ENCOURAGE THE CHILD TO BE DROPPED OFF AT A RANDOM HOME.

“We are asking all the people who have shared the red light message to please add to their message that Vanessa should be brought to a local hospital, fire department, or police department,” Ansonia Police Lt. Patrick Lynch said in a statement Sunday.

Just a thought on the evidence located inside the donation bin:

At about the same time that LE was seen searching the donation bins, they took other actions that made me think police believed Vanessa was alive. LE discontinued the endangered missing alert for Vanessa and issued an Amber Alert for Vanessa (which they seldom do without a vehicle).

I'm wondering if it was Vanessa's clothing covered in her mother's blood that was found inside the donation bin. If a child is dead -- why bother changing her clothes whereas if she was alive it would make sense to change her out of her bloody clothes. Also -- if blood tested positive for mom that would also lead away from Vanessa injured and/or bleeding.

I'm just hoping this was not a double homicide. :(

Huh. It's a thought, for sure.
Taking clothes from the bin occurred to me too. I've seen people leave clothing outside in bags if the bin was full, but I find this unlikely since there were TWO bins at this site.

I think it's more likely he had clothing at Christine's or in his car. His FB says he's a day-worker, so I wouldn't be surprised if there was a change of clothes in his car.
Who's a day worker? Who's FB page?

I, unfortunately, totally agree. I honestly don't have any hope of VM turning up alive. I hope I'm wrong, but it's just so incredibly unlikely at this point.

All of the facts point to this crime having been committed by someone with a lot of emotion towards CH, like you said. If there was panic in the aftermath though, that leaves good chances of evidence for LE to find.

This is different, because they knew for a fact that the house was a crime scene.

In that one, mistakes were clearly made. The difference is that they were looking for a missing child, and had no underlying crime that they were investigating.

They had a clear and brutal murder here, and I can’t imagine that they would have missed a body while combing the scene for evidence. That whole house would have been processed.

I can't remember her name, but there was a missing child case years back where the girl's body was found in her bedroom days after she'd been reported missing. IIRC she was tangled up in the bedclothes at the foot of her bed and no one saw her when they searched. I think that one was accidental death or natural causes.
Paulette Gebara Farah? Her case still makes zero sense to me.

Same thing. Law enforcement was looking for a missing child, and not investigating a separate murder at the house.

Yes! Thank you. I've never understood how something like that could happen either.

I have asked this question before, but not gotten an answer. Do we know what crime JM committed that prohibits him from have any weapons?

You can probably look it up but we can't discuss it because LE hasn't named him as a POI.

Thank goodness LE put a STOP to the red light drop off plan! Good move IMO!

stepped up police presence on Myrtle Avenue outside Christine Holloway and Vanessa Morales’ home. Earlier today there was just single squad car outside, now several unmarked cars. Holloway was found murdered in the home a week ago & her daughter gone.
@News12CT @marrissaalter

A K9 was also just brought into the house as police continue to probe Christine Holloway’s murder and search for her 1-year-old daughter Vanessa Morales.

This is all police would say about why they were back at Christine Holloway’s home today. No specifics about what brought them here or what they were looking for. @News12CT

I have looked it up but haven't seen anything that would indicate violence, or anything of that nature on his part. I thought there might be something I'm missing. We've discussed him and his charges so I wouldn't see why that wouldn't be allowed. But, you never know.

Definitely. But someone here said that surely police are watching places like hospitals and fire stations. I think police would let anyone take a child into a hospital, and all you'd have to do is wrap the child in a blanket to obscure her identity anyway. Drop her in the hospital, walk away. A nurse will notice her and look around to find a parent, and when they can't find one, then they'll call the police while comforting the child and getting her physically checked over. By the time a police officer arrives, the person who took her in could be long gone.

There's a grieving family out there who love little Vanessa, and they need and deserve to know she's okay, and to be reunited with her. Vanessa has to come first above everything else, including the needs and fears of whoever has her.

The only thing I believe MSM has reported is that he is a convicted felon. I haven't seen any specific charges detailed in MSM for JM.

Do most hospitals, fire & police stations have cameras? That could be a reason for anyone that has Vanessa to not want to just drop her off somewhere, in fear of getting caught on camera?? MOO
