It’s impossible to say, but you very well may be right.

Personally, I think all the answers lie with the man currently behind bars. I’m optimistic for a break, but pessimistic in regards to what that break will mean for Vanessa.

The crime seems to have been emotional, on account of the brutal violence that was inflicted. The post offense actions seem to indicate panic, in that putting bloody items in a donation bin is incredibly stupid.

My fear is that this was part of a pattern, one that culminated with Vanessa’s death. If she was alive, I think she would have been recovered by now.

I think this is likely to have been a double homicide.

Well I don’t want to like this post but as the days go by and the people I thought were hiding the baby don’t seem to be doing that I’m sadly leaning toward this too - it’s odd though that the baby was removed from the crime scene IMO which gives me pause ...

Do most hospitals, fire & police stations have cameras? That could be a reason for anyone that has Vanessa to not want to just drop her off somewhere, in fear of getting caught on camera?? MOO

Most likely, but I would assume LE, per their request to leave V at a hospital, fire/police station, are staking them all out.

I believe they're suggesting those places as they're a lot safer to leave a lone child than on some random stranger's porch.

A fair amount of homes have cameras as well. And if they are like mine, they are inside the front porch lights.

My comment was just agreeing with another comment that if somebody did have the baby, it's possible that they might take advantage of the "leave her with somebody" campaign. Nothing to do with day workers or Facebook.

I'm wondering if the killer took the baby in a panic and then realized that he had to kill her too or be caught.

Unfortunately, as I have learned over the years, it's pretty easy to dispose of a baby's body as opposed to an adult body.

And he left blood evidence but so far we haven’t heard that from this crime scene - I’m still holding on to a tiny bit of hope

For our legal experts:

If a person is being held in custody for, say a parole violation, perhaps a weapons violation, could police ask that person to turn over their phone? And if that person agreed and police found evidence of a separate crime on the phone, would that evidence be enough for an arrest? Would the evidence be admissible in court? Could police request a search warrant for the phone after they’ve already inspected it and seen the evidence?

By the time a police officer arrives, the person who took her in could be long gone.

Then LE asks to look at surveillance cameras of the ER, inside and out and find out who dropped the baby off, then the picture is on the 11 o’clock news.

After all this time, who could have her? A relative? I’m sure they’ve all been looked at at this point. Mothers, grandmas, sisters, baby sitters, aunts, cousins. All have probably been vetted. Each day that passes, the changes that Venessa is safe are dwindling. I just pray if she is alive, that she is recovered soon.

Yes, she can't just be dropped off. They keep saying she is one years old, but in fact, she will be two in 3 months. My grandson was a year old end of August and he is all over the place. He can even talk a little. She will have to be delivered to someone. Maybe a priest or a nun. Do they still recognize the confidential relationship like client and attorney?

Well, a logical thing would be to drop the child off miles and miles away, maybe even in a different state. But, I'm not holding my breath.
