I cannot believe I'm leaning this direction also, but what maniac would kill a year old baby?
The same maniac that would bludgeon her mother to death beyond physical identification.

It’s impossible to say, but you very well may be right.

Personally, I think all the answers lie with the man currently behind bars. I’m optimistic for a break, but pessimistic in regards to what that break will mean for Vanessa.

The crime seems to have been emotional, on account of the brutal violence that was inflicted. The post offense actions seem to indicate panic, in that putting bloody items in a donation bin is incredibly stupid.

My fear is that this was part of a pattern, one that culminated with Vanessa’s death. If she was alive, I think she would have been recovered by now.

I think this is likely to have been a double homicide.

This is where I’m at. I don’t think this was planned, I believe this was a spur of the moment, rage-induced situation that presents plenty of disorganized behavior (not limited to but including clothing disposal in bins, etc). As much as it truly breaks my heart, I strongly believe if someone had Vanessa LE would know by now.

The only thing giving my some hope is that I’m sure they have where this person went after the fact and that they haven’t yet found her could be positive. That being said, I am prepared for the worst.

It literally hurts when I think of baby V’s sweet face. I see my little girl in her. Life is incredibly unfair, sometimes.

What's the snow like in CT? A child's body might not be recovered until spring. How awful.
This may have been addressed, but there wasn't snow on the ground until pretty much Monday/Tuesday of last week. I'm not sure how much New Haven county got, but it's raining today and overnight. Today was in the 50s, and tomorrow is supposed to be as well. Most of the snow down that way will likely melt, but it also wouldn't have been there during the timeframe in question.

Yes, she can't just be dropped off. They keep saying she is one years old, but in fact, she will be two in 3 months. My grandson was a year old end of August and he is all over the place. He can even talk a little. She will have to be delivered to someone. Maybe a priest or a nun. Do they still recognize the confidential relationship like client and attorney?
Where are you getting that age for Vanessa? I could've sworn the posters I've seen said she is 15 months.

A K9 was also just brought into the house as police continue to probe Christine Holloway’s murder and search for her 1-year-old daughter Vanessa Morales. @News12CT

Interesting...anyone have thoughts on why they’re bringing the k9 back through?

Also, I should add that I believe LE knows that chances are very slim (to none) that Vanessa is alive. I think that’s partly why they stopped pressers (in addition to the resources involved etc), and also why they are not putting out more requests to the public. They’re methodically working a recovery, MOO.

I’m curious about the age too. I can tell you that the 17lbs she is reported at would be extremely small for an almost 2 year old. My littlest one turned one two weeks ago, and at 16.7 lbs she is only in the 6th percentile for weight (a shrimp - albeit a very cute one). I’d be surprised if baby V was close to 2 at that weight...moo.

I'm genuinely surprised they haven't checked the water near those donation bins and on Derby Ave/Route 34 (that we know of obviously).

According to this, she's 15 months.

A few possibilities:

Sometimes they bring in a second, different dog to go through an area that was already searched in case the first dog missed something.

It might be a different kind of dog--one trained for specific scents (drugs are the most well known, but there are a number of other specialties. [off topic, the Boston MFA has a young dog being trained to detect bookworms and other insects in art objects]), for instance.

They might want to check an area that wasn't checked earlier.

This is all police would say about why they were back at Christine Holloway’s home today. @News12CT

Well that was a lot. Probably shouldn't have bothered, haha.

Seriously, though- they are doing a great job trying to find her. I'd much rather they be busy looking for Vanessa than doing a PC just for our curiosity. Finding her is more important.

I think so, too. I really don't think that baby is alive. I'm scared to think of what might have happened to her after her mother was killed. I just hope that if the little one is deceased, that she died instantly and didn't suffer from any physical or sexual abuse.

She was born in March I'm pretty sure.

Who's a day worker? Who's FB page?
Morales identifies himself on Facebook as a day trader. Pictures of him are on Holloway’s Facebook page, pictures of Holloway are on his Facebook page. A photo of him and a young child who appears to be Vanessa is also on his Facebook page.

Lynch said the driving force of the FBI agents, state troopers, Ansonia and Derby police working the case is that they believe Vanessa “is with someone safe” and they “are going to find her.”
Tearful aunt pleads ‘keep her safe’ to whomever has 1-year-old Vanessa

He hadn’t posted for quite some time and then posted on the 29th of Nov. That’s always a red flag for me. IMO

in this tweet and subsequent pictures, is that JM standing opposite of LE in the black and gray clothing?
I will admit I’m tired and my eyes may be playing tricks on me, so can someone else give it a second look? Please

Yes I've seen that. But a day trader is not the same as a day worker is it??
Actually I don't know what either are in this case. I don't believe he worked in the stock market, but that's what a day trader is to me. Maybe some street jargon.

I don't think that's him. But I'm not the best judge.

I noticed that too, but the same applies to her. She posted on the 28th or 27th. I thought maybe they were together for Thanksgiving.

Can't see why baby V would have been taken if she was simply an afterthought. She isn't old enough to tell anyone what she saw, and may not have witnessed anything anyway. Why not kill her at the scene too? Did the perp feel bad enough to remove her from the scene after he/she killed her mom? Doesn't make sense. Makes me think she was the target. MOO
