Information:

On October 13, 2018 at 15:24 the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a report of a 1 ½ year old boy missing from his home. The child had been in the garage with family right before it was noticed that he was missing.

The Waupaca County Sheriff Office responded immediately to the address and started the search for the child along with their K-9’s. The Waupaca County Sheriff Office has been assisted by the following departments:

Wisconsin State Patrol
Clintonville Police Department and K9
Marion Police Department and K9
Shawano Police Department and K9
Spirit of Marhfield Air Ambulance
Iola Ambulance Service
NorthWest First Responders
Iola Fire Department
New London Fire Department
Marion Fire Department
Scandinavia Fire Department
Manawa Fire Department
Manawa Ambulance
Embarrass Fire Department
Clintonville Fire Department
Weyauwega Police Department and Drone

We are looking for volunteers to help search for a missing 1 1/2 year old child. Volunteers can respond to the Iola Winter Sports Club located at E398 County Road MM, Iola, WI 54945, tomorrow, October 14, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. Volunteers will be bused to search locations.

Volunteers need to have a valid identification card and be physically able to help search, them as much of the area is wet and challenging.

A 1-1/2 year old boy named Cylus was reported missing from his home on South River Rd. in Iola, WI on the evening of Saturday, October 13, 2018. Cylus had been in the garage with family right before it was noticed that he was missing. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket and blue hat, but his hat was reportedly found in the river.

The Waupaca County Sheriff Office responded immediately to the address and started the search for the child along with their K-9’s. They are being assisted by numerous local jurisdictions. Additional volunteers are not needed this evening, but may be needed in the morning.

Omg!!! Thats just horrifying. I cant imagine him getting far on those little baby legs.
...And what a beautiful baby he is. Ugh! Depressing.

Authorities searching for missing toddler near Iola
The search starts at 9 a.m Sunday morning. Anyone wanting to volunteer can meet at the Iola Winter Sports Club. Volunteers will get on buses and go out and search for the missing boy.

Officials have not released information about where the search will be but said it is "wet and challenging."

We have discontinued the ground search. We do not need any personnel or resources. Thank you, to everyone for your support. No additional information will be released at this time.

Oh no. What a beautiful little boy :(. I assume he's been found, but where? In the river? Or in the house? :(

I can't for the life of me figure out who this adorable child belongs to. Who the parents, grandparents, aunt/uncles are. Is he a foster child? (I kinda hope so because maybe that means he was kidnapped and is safe?)

We are grateful for our community, the support everyone has shown has been overwhelming. Please prove to the family how wonderful our community is by showing them respect and privacy. Some users on our Facebook page are not, and this is unacceptable. We will release more information when appropriate. Please do not contact our communication center with questions about this situation, they will not release any other information. They need to be available for other emergencies.
