Details of Disappearance
Coon departed from her family's residence in Washtenaw County, Michigan during the morning hours of January 19, 1970. She was en route to her school in Ann Arbor, Michigan at the time. Coon never arrived there as scheduled and has never been seen again.

Coon called her family members on April 1, 1970 and April 2, 1970. She did not know her whereabouts at the time of the two telephone conversations. Coon has not been heard from again. Her relatives received an extortion-type phone call on May 5, 1970, nearly four months after she disappeared. There has not been any other communication regarding Coon's case since that time. Her disappearance remains unsolved.
