AL Damian Kinte Dill (20) - Montgomery AL, 2005

Interesting connection to another MP. Den'ya Shoharae Mills. #MP151047 missing from California City, CA. Whom I believe might be Vandy Jane Doe. Her paternal side has connections to Hayes/Butler/Moore which matches with the surnames of the Jane Doe according to genealogy.

Seargent Clark gave me a call. He stated that there was no one on file named Damian missing out of Montgomery in 2005. I explained that he was in Namus and his file stated as such. He couldn't find who I was referring to. I am very unsure now as to if this is an active investigation.
I had given the detective the NamUs case number and had advised him that the case would be in NamUs all he had to do was look it up. I gave him all the identifiers of both the MP and the JDoe. He said he could not find a record of it but took my information. He was a bit dismissive to be honest. He has not responded to any of my follow ups. No one has.
To see the article @Atombudd retrieved only furthers my confusion. Clearly Damian was missing out of Montgomery Alabama.

I wish there was more I could do. 😔

But then again, what really can one do when the detective adamantly denies that there is a gentleman missing with that exact name from Montgomery?

Clara Land who is the Criminal Intelligence Analyst for the Missing Persons Unit in the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
I also never heard back from Clara Land either.
I think John Doe being found with a t-shirt from a sports league in California is what has solidified this for me.

That can't be a coincidence. But I could be wrong.

Montgomery Police were very kind in assisting me, and I have been directed to Sgt Clark, the detective assigned to the case. I left him a voicemail and I will be speaking with him on Monday.

Hopefully we will know soon.
It’s interesting because when I spoke with Montgomery dispatch they advised me Seargent Clark was assigned to the case. Only for him to tell me such a case doesn’t exist..

This is strange all around tbh.

If anyone wants to intervene and or send a tip or suggestion, please do I have done everything I can to advocate for Damien in this case, but I think I’m kind of exhausted at this point.

Are there any exclusions for Damian? Does anyone know when his profile was last modified?

I noticed his NamUs Profile now has the following:

Circumstance Notes

New contacts for MPD
Never seen that before, but I wonder what it means?

This case has really been bugging me so I sent a follow up email. I'll update if I hear back. I just think there's too many similarities to ignore, if I am being honest.

2007 St Louis John Doe is a black male, between 20-30, 5'10", 150 lbs, He was wearing Dickies boots, blue jeans, and a T-shirt with the Triple Crown logo. He also had an old healed fracture on his right forearm, and detectives noted the unusual detail of a kid’s watch on his wrist.

Damian was a black male, 20 years old, approximately 6'0 tall and 150 pounds according to NamUs.

Then when comparing the John Doe sketch to a photo of Damian Dill, IMHO the similarities are striking.

Lastly, Amerikus (the name on the shirt) is the name of an individual who when she was young, lived with her mother. She now lives elsewhere. But at that time, her mother worked for the United States Airforce out of Montgomery Alabama. That is a lot of commonalities for me to think it's a coincidence.
