Dad's first overnight shift... time for mommy to party with someone else? JMO

I wonder how long JI has known this?
My guess = The day LE claimed they were no longer cooperating, was the day he was smacked with proof... of what he suspected when he came home in the wee hours on the morning Lisa went missing. jmo

This is the assumption I had made from the beginning... Definitely a good cover.. "I don't know what happened, I was drunk!" I think SHE was the one that left all the lights on..passed out in her bed and who knows what happened to baby Lisa...
"I was at werk"
"I don't remember anything"
:furious:

Neglect maybe because there was a bad result, a bad impact to the child from the neglect (disappearance). We'd have to look at the statutes and maybe some other cases in that state.

I don't know if it could be considered abuse unless/until they have evidence that Lisa was injured or died.

And this is why she keeps saying she thinks she's going to be arrested. She is right, IMO.

child neglect for sure

That is not going to happen because LE can't now prove how much she drank and what sort of effect drinking has on her and amounts she can/can't tolerate - would never hold up in court at this late stage.

The only logical explanation I can see for the mother admitting being drunk is because the proof came forth re the alcohol being bought and what LE potentially found of alcohol left over or none at all, also the husband/neighbours have probably made a statement to them about the drinking, if she was drinking on that outside porch she may have been seen - this now gives her some sort of alibi or an ''out'' if you like.

I think mother has weighed up her options and thought much better to admit to being drunk and that's why I didn't hear a kidnapper than to have people believe that she did something to her baby. I'm not buying it though.

OR...one of your children picked her up and by accidently fell with her, because you were passed out. She isn't letting her children talk to LE. MOO

Sadly that was one of my first theories, and still something I believe quite possibly happened. And if it were JI's son who was involved, it would explain why JI would follow along in the "abduction cover up".

MOO

I just felt in that first interview she appeared to actually be grieving more than an abduction. JMOO

I was watching 48 hours and a little girl was a witness to a shooting and they had to get permission from her parents to be interviewed. She was the only witness too. moo

Maybe MOO...JI didn't know she bought the wine until it came out in the media. Then what was she going to say?

She should have come out with this from the beginning. Never mentioned it on any of the other interviews. Whether she is guilty or not, only God knows. But this lying or omitting facts makes it look bad for her. JMOO

Not just speculation, they were seen on the store surveillance tape! Someone wanted to drink that wine that evening!

I wouldn't be surprised if DB (and maybe JI) is "working" towards "it was an accident" statement as (hopefully) LE close in on the truth. (which may in fact be that it was an accident)

From day 1 she's been all aboout what she did/didn't do. Much less about that precious baby.

All my opinion :twocents:

I had heard reports that the neighbor left at 10:30. I assumed the neighbor was giving a true account of the evening as she knew it, so if someone else was still there she would have said as much. So I assumed that once the neighbor left, mom was there alone with her kids.

So the neighbor leaves at 10:30 and that's when Debbie say she changed the baby's diaper for the last time.

How drunk was Debbie? 0.8 legally impaired for driving drunk, or stumbling down trying to change a diaper drunk?

I can't see her calling anyone to assist her. Who in the world could she call to do that? If she disposed of Lisa's body, I think she did it alone. Drunk.

Still on the wobbly fence. I want to see the interview to put it in perspective.

Lisa looked like a pretty big, robust child. Wouldn't the fall have to be pretty violent or from a pretty high place for it to kill her? I have seen yr old children fall from high chairs and flip themselves out of cribs, and get away with bad bruises and scrapes. It seems pretty rare for a 8 yr old to accidentally KILL an 11 month old child just by dropping them, imo.
