Dan Rassier: Former POI **Wrongly accused**

I wish he would be cleared as well, but I don't know if Stearns will take the time and resources to do that. I don't think the FBI has bluffed on Rassier at all, it's all Stearns County from what I can tell. Stearns has always led the investigation and are the ones who focused on DR since 2003...FBI only served a support role until taking over the case in November 2014. Things happened pretty quickly at that point.

What about all of those other agencies involved? The BCA was reviewing the case in 2010 and they apparently found the info for a warrant?

<modsnip> DR confirmed he thinks they found some sort of blood on the chest. The dog hit near the chest, so what is on the chest could be 26 year old blood spatter, explaining the need for advancement in technology. To ignore this is absolute lunacy.

Just thought of something and it points to the importance of when DR first told investigators the next morning about the car. Is he possibly on record saying the car had four doors or two doors? Should have been visible to him. If he said the next morning that it was a four door car, that might spell disaster and it was Kevin.

What is still hanging on DR?

1. A gag order still prohibits LE from discussing any deeper details that relate to the third search.

2. Some items from the third search are as far as we know still being held onto for "advancement in technology"

3. A cadaver dog made a hit on the property next to a cedar chest that was seized.

4. Patty, DR, DR's family and friends, have all asked that DR be cleared since this new heinrich evidence, LE has denied these requests.

Good Point. Over the years I've had my doubts regarding DR....but with Heinrich's shoe + tire prints....how do you explain DR's involvement?

Nope not sure yet whose footprints and tire pronts are on the driveway. I have heard people on this message board say they are in fact heinrichs, but I haven't heard LE or the Media clarify that. LE and the media have only gone so far to say they are "consistent". It's been 8 months now and DR is running even with Heinrich as the two POI's.

I can't figure that out either. But what do you think when LE digs up his property, removes items of interest, names him a POI the same day, and then go on Cnn to declare the perp was very local and on foot? It begs for the answer of what exactly was found and still being tested.

I think LE had been focused on the car sighting for so many years that when they found out the sighted car was not involved they immediately assumed it must have been someone local and on foot and who better candidate than DR

And I think the biggest blunder by police was to then disregard the Heinrich tracks because they had just quit the car-in-driveway theory

I dont think DR did it , the guy reeks with innocence and naivety .

In my opinion the most guilty culprits are (some) LE on this case . Plus if you consider the extraordinarily high numbers of other unsolved molestation's in that area for all those years a bad aroma simmers from the police side and DR smells like perfume.

Cadaver dog hit in the DR house ?? .... no big deal to me ..... nearly every older house has had people die in it through the years .... people get old and die and it is usually at home. I do not know how many years a cadaver scent lingers but if police are trying to take it back to 25 years ago why not go back another 25 years or another 50 years.

Some old grandparent may have died years ago and the family kept that clothing in a big chest at the farm and buried the guy in his Sunday Suit .... plenty of explanations.

I live in a foreign country now and my neighbors are like the US was pre Jacob , I feel. It is sad and mind boggling to watch molestation being accepted because it is a close family member ( he did not molest family that I know of).

Pre Jacob people did not talk or think about molestation as the horror it is known to be today. Not too long ago, beating your wife in the US was acceptable behavior. Molesting your own children was not talked about.

A molester was a dirty old man and you would recognize him immediately, back years ago. No one knew it was a clergy member, teacher, coach, etc.

To judge this crime through today's lense would not be an accurate look. Jacob changed how people looked at molestation.

Sounds like he cut and pasted local kids' heads on shots for entertainment, when he wasn't out stalking paper boys. The original search warrant had some of his online user names. Maybe those should be researched?

When I first started reading your reply I had thought you were talking about DR, lol. What are Heinrichs online user names?

I'm sure Heinrich spent time online. I'm sure he spent a LOT of time " hunting " or prowling around looking for whoever he could snatch up, or grope, or whatever. And those bins of boys clothes? Did he go to yard sales or raid clothes lines:thinking:

If indeed he were online and had several usernames who knows What WAS he doing? Seems he would do WHATEVER it took to satisfy those disgusting urges, most do.

I get this creepy feeling that YES, Heinrich is VERY dark & twisted. To me, I can't help but to feel like it's worse. HE is worse. More so than what I originally thought anyway.

I don't know and I'm not sure if I want to know, but I suspect the History of Heinrich may be very dark and very deep. Whatever the case may be....why are we discussing Heinrich on the Dan Rassier POI thread? Why the natural drift to Heinrich? Frankly, IMO, the natural drift to Heinrich is due to the plausibility of such a drift and the implausibility of a drift towards DR. My "perception" of DR's comments both graphically and visually gave me pause for a very long while, but despite the oddities, I cannot fathom a scenario involving him as the abductor. It becomes nonsensical. Always a dead end. So it appears to me at this point in time, given what we know to date, that Jacob Wetterling was abducted initially on foot but spirited away in a vehicle. And that DR's statements as they exist in whatever form or detail, constitute a description(albeit limited) of at least a portion of the crime itself.
