Dan Rassier: Former POI **Wrongly accused**

In every media account of the arrest and prosecution of Heinrich, there seems to be some reference to him as THE POI of the Wetterling case. The FBI and the BCA are sure carrying on as if the have solved the case even if they can't proceed with a prosecution. Even Sheriff Sanner is basking in the glory. Can anyone provide any quote from him or other Indication that would suggest that he has any serious doubts or reservations about Heinrich's involvement? I suspect the "court of public opinion" has pretty well acquitted him.

Sannerhasn't publicly exonerated DR and he probably won't unless charges are filed against Heinrich. Ultimately the question of his treatment of DR is going to be raised.

That seems to be the case.....no pun intended.

They dug and tore the place up in 2005 and 2010. What happened in the first search? Should they have named Heinrich a POI before Dan?

LE has known what happened since 2004. They made a mistake and are still making a mistake by not letting out more information before DR confesses or a DNA confirmation. When they finally do yell thr story people will say why now? Why this long? Why not in 2004? It would have put on tons more pressure and maybe convinced his defending family as well.

The picture shows the Wetterlings turning their back on the abduction scene...they're looking homeward....but beyond that....looking for Jacob...you can see it in their eyes. My sense is it is a composed picture....but very compelling nonetheless-and genuine on their part. I doubt DR will be making a confession...more likely the other POI.....for reasons unknown.

I think the driveway has the answer. We don't need DR or Heinrich to talk. The answer lies in the sand as to what happened to Jacob.

You size up heinrichs shoes to the print on the driveway, are they the same? You match up at least 3 of the 4 mismatched tires, you show the footprints of Jacobs and Heinrichs footprints coinciding with the parked vehicle and then nothing. If all this works out I think you could say Heinrich is responsible without readonable doubt. But we are seeing one unsized perp footprint, one footprint of Jacobs. And one tire pattern from heinrichs car that has three other tires and mismatched. Open up the driveway to find the answer. You can prove this case without a confession or even DNA.

Did you mean to type "before DJH confesses"? DR has nothing to confess, IMO.

I'm fairly confident in my own findings, just looking at how this all unfolded over the years. It comes down to talking about Daniel Rassier, for whom the police are gagged from the most important questions. Heinrich isn't gagged, he should be.

I have not heard anything about DR being cleared officially. I doubt that LE will spend resources on doing so, or at least that's what the story will be. I'm sure they have moved on from him completely, though, and I would bet heavily on it.

You would think between both at least the shoe or 4 tires there would be a match but no they are consistent. Much more to know and see here. All the other stuff is circumstancial. With DR there is secrets they aren't talking about, well the last they said "we won't rush the lab"
