Scents move on air currents. What direction was the wind blowing? What time of day was it? Scents are higher in the air during the day when it's warmer and lower to the ground at night when it's cooler. Who's dog was it and what was the dogs training and the handlers qualifications? Where the scent "seemed to go" is subject to a number of variables. I forget when the dog was brought in, but if the scent trail seemed to indicate this before the outbuildings were searched by DR, it would have been an inexcusable lapse by SCSD as they had the lead in the case. The other agencies are only along for the ride.
We also don't see the prints associated with Heinrich in any of the photographs. Based on what pictures I have seen, my theory is that Jacob was carried to the car and the one print is where he was put down with one foot into the car and the toe of the other shoe in the dirt stepping up.
Where are Mund's prints? If you think the "Jacobs Last Print" belongs to Mund, where are his other prints leading to and away from the tire track? If that is an orphan print, it begs a few questions.
Like every other bit of evidence, it needs to be vetted. If you are correct, I will be the first to throw you a party...if you do the cooking.![]()
Aren't dogs trained to do different things? Search for living? Search for dead?
