I think norest may be referring to this threads existence but that is simply how I took it.

I watched it on JVM. They touted the story to be "about missing Lisa Irwin" but had "breaking news" and then all they talked about was Dane. Nothing new about little Lisa.

Eh, it's JVM. Just like NG's "breaking news" which normally isn't. Take whatever is "new" (Dane in jail) and run with it.

BYC Mangehouse, a KS rap artist and acquaintance of Dane, has been someone that Justice on BL FB has brought out to the forefront a few times in the earlier part of the case due to his FB connection with Dane and other unsavory characters. I was reading some posts from Mangehouse today where he talks about babies being taken for a drug debt. He talks about his addict wife (I think they are divorced now) and how drug dealers threatened his son. Someone asked what the drug dealers do with the babies they take, and Mangehouse said that usually they kill them and put them in the river. You can go read this for yourself, but my take on it was that Mangehouse knows for a fact this is done, and it is not fantasy.

I'm pretty shocked to know this, because I've not seriously considered any theory in this case regarding drugs. I still don't think that is what happened here. However, I think it is something that we need to put in our data bank for sleuthing other crimes since now we know it does happen.

You know, I didn't know if something like this would happen, but I have wondered if there was some reason someone may have threatened the family and that is why Deb said she was afraid to look for Lisa in the backyard because she was afraid of what she might find. I'm on the fence, but I just find their behavior so bizarre...almost like they either know she is okay somewhere or they know she is dead. I also wondered about gambling debts or any type of debt to a shady character.

I don't think I ever heard a criminal kill a baby for a drug debt but I'm sure they would never admit to that. If we want to consider this, that means we have to now have drugs entering JI/DBs lifestyle.

It appears MW may know her way around some treats. She has contacts if anybody need anything...IMO. To now include drugs as a possible reason for Lisa's death/disappearance is a stretch.

If DB did call for drugs at midnight but then realized the phone was dead, I can see reason why both are going to deny knowing each other.

There was a baby killed in a gang related drive by shooting just the other day but they just indiscriminately fired at the house.

If DB and JI aren't into drugs I find it unlikely that retaliation for drug debts is behind Lisa's disappearance.

If they are into drugs... well then all bets are off and anything could have happened to her at her parents' hands as well as their druggie friends' hands, if any. Perhaps more likely than a drug dealer breaking in and taking the baby.

I KNEW IT!!! The "DB didn't do it" crowd is trying to pin this on Dane. I knew that as soon as he was arrested that he would be next to try to bring "reasonable doubt" to the parents questionable statements. If this wasn't such a serious case, it would be funny!

I've never heard of a baby being taken as revenge for their parents' drug debt, but I have heard of a 15 yr old girl being abducted and murdered for exactly that reason. Unfortunately I can't remember the name, it was on an episode of the FBI Files.

Not saying that happened here, but its not as far fetched as some people seem to think it is.

Yes, technically there is a case, although certainly not a hot case, unless PD has something brewing under the radar. My guess, unfortunately, is that they DON'T have anything brewing, and the case hasn't moved in several months.

I'd really like to know how PD is working the case at this point. I'm pretty discouraged.

If I knew (or even suspected) someone had taken my baby I'd be telling the police, the media, anyone I could get to listen ... to help get my baby back to me.

I'm not into drugs & don't know dealers so maybe I'm just hopelessly naive about it. I would think you'd do anything to find your baby. Even admit wrongdoing on your part. Wouldn't your be worried they'd come back for your other children?

I can't believe all these months later we still haven't found Lisa. I do think DB & JI know more than they've said about what happened that fateful night.

Oh, I have no doubt that there will be an arrest in this case. LE has a lot more than any of us know. This isn't a sound bite or CSI that has to be handled in 60 minutes. This is real life and sometimes these things take years to make an arrest. It will happen. I truly believe that.
