Danica Patrick - 1st Woman in history to win the Pole at Daytona 500

I think 3rd in the Indy 500 is a good accomplishment.

Of course it is, but she's not treated (by the sport and the media) as a driver who's highest accomplishment is 3rd in Indy. She's treated as the top of the sport, which is false because she's not, at least not via accomplishments on the track.

I was soooooo excited when she jumped to NASCAR ---- because now I don't have to watch her on the open-wheel circuit!!

Not a fan - trying to be 'equal' (whatever that means) to the men in racing, griping about not being respected, all the while degrading herself with those GoDaddy commercials and worse. Give me a female race driver like Sarah Fisher or Ana Beatriz any day of the week.

Formula 1 is more exciting I think, although I don't really watch racing in general.

I'm mainly a Formula 1 fan but also follow Indy and Cup. We'll probably see more passing in the Formula 1 races this year than we just saw at Daytona.

Anyway, Danica did a good job at Daytona.
