This girl (now a grandmother) contacted me through my Facebook page to tell me that she is alive! She told me the story. She met Alcala and he told her he wanted to take her photo. He took her to the mountains and was taking photos of her when a group of hikers came through the area where they were. She had become uncomfortable with the interaction with him and apparently left with the hikers. There is no doubt that these people saved her life!
