Day after day and no arrest

I completely understand where you're coming from. I'm getting so impatient for Casey to fry NOW and to be convicted tomorrow! But I know realistically that she won't be charged for a while, won't go to trial for a while, trial will take forever...I just have to accept there will be a loooooong rollercoaster ride of my emotions ahead! Do I think she will be charged for murder? Yes, she will have to with so much publicity. I think LE are just waiting for whether murder 1 or murder 2 charges, and waiting until the last minute to charge her because time is only on their side. The evidence they have is not going away and they can only gather more the longer they wait IMHO. *fingers crossed for justice for Caylee*

You know, even if they ever arrest Casey for murder, she may get bail. And its possible it may even remain at this 500,000. Not everyone arrested for murder goes to jail without bail. Her lawyer would probably bring up the fact that she has been out on bail for months and never attempted escape so she should get bail. Who knows. But so far everything seems to go her way which makes me scream.

Thats the thing tho. With Scott Peterson, all they had was a hair on a plier and the fact he went fishing (didn't they arrest him right before those bodies arrived on shore??) and that he lived with his wife. Yet they got a conviction and by all appearances he looked very guilty.

The motive for Casey? She wanted to get back at her mother AND she wanted to be free of the child. She didn't want the mother to get Caylee because that was her mothers threat so it was like 'I'll show you...I will take this kid and you will never see her'. I think she killed her on the 15th out of rage for her mother. That shouldn't be hard to prove since there was a big fight about Cindy taking Caylee away from her.

Casey is the one that had the car. Casey is the one that told lies. Casey is the one that had possession of Caylee and made up a person that never had Caylee to begin with. Who else put the body in the trunk? If Casey knows who had her kid and put her in the trunk then why doesn't she tell LE? I would assume they found out where Casey got the chloroform. If so, that should cinch the deal. Why did she need chloroform. If the evidence the cops have leaked is true, I think they have more than enough to arrest her. But is it true? Those behind the scenes keep spouting they have alot more than anyone knows. If so, then why don't they arrest her? I am getting very impatient watching this circus day after day when it is so apparent that Casey killed Caylee.

i agree. not a real confidence booster! i think they have way less evidence than we think.

I think LE has plenty of evidence. If you just look at what we are aware of I think it could go to trial and she would be found guilty of 1st degree murder.

Casey searched the internet for the chloroform...where to buy it and how to use it. Why would anyone want to buy chloroform and why would they need to know how to use it? I would really like to know what sites she went to on how to use it...what exactly did she want to know?

The smell of chloroform was very heavy in the car. I don't think LE found the container though but it was obvious that it had been used.

Add to that the smell of decomp that no one could mistake...not even George and Cindy.

LE also finds hair in the trunk.

The fluid and hair and anything else LE ran across is sent to a lab and the results come back positive for fluids from a decomp body. The hair is from a dead body and believed to be Caylee's hair.

Two different death dogs identify places where a dead body had been. The dogs identified at seperate times.

Casey borrows or takes a shovel....what for?

Caylee was missing for over a month before Casey even admitted that she was gone.

Casey has lied at every turn since it was discovered that Caylee is missing.

Casey refuses to cooperate with LE in order to find little Caylee.

Casey refuses to tell her parents where Caylee is.

Casey's demeanor is not like a mother of a missing child would normally be.

Casey was cooking meals for her male friends....out partying and staying with her boyfriend while Caylee was missing the whole first month and longer. She acted like she didn't have a care in the world.

Remember on one of the tapes where Casey said that the thing she feared the most was her mother? She said something like....My mother will never forgive me and I'll never be able to forgive myself. I think at that time she was talking about Caylee's death. She knows that little girl meant the world to Cindy Anthony. How will Cindy react when she does have to come to terms with Caylee's death and at Casey's hands? I don't think she will ever forgive Casey.

Casey will be arrested when the timing is right. I don't care how long it takes for LE to make the arrest as long as the case is as tight as they can make it. They can take her to trial without a body but it is always better if the body has been recovered. Her day will come. I have no doubt.

That really doesn't make any sense that if they try her for child abuse or neglect that they won't be able to charge her with murder. The charges are totally different. Like day and night. Does anyone have something legal about that? I hope and pray that isn't right.

The problem I have with the Chloroform is that it was so thick in the trunk a month after Caylee likely died. From everything I've been reading, Chloroform dissipates very quickly. I wonder what the LE theory is regrading the Chloroform.

You bet they do! Surely they could bring her in now even without a body. I contend they are iron-cladding the whole thing to ensure she is nailed 'good'. (Or waiting for the body to be found to seal the deal even more). You know the DNA results are all in. OR - they are circling around others who were culpable/involved.

I think if they find Caylees body they can put Casey there from the cell phone pings. I think this is why they are holding up their charges as if they can place Casey where the body is then they have a great case.
This is what they did with Scott Peterson from his cell phone charges and he said he went fishing around where the bodies came up.
Maybe TES is waiting for water to go down so they can see if the bodys is under water (if it is wrapped in something that is)
I think they have an idea what Casey put the body in to bury her.
They have the videos from where Casey shopped and we don't have the list of items that they got out of Tonys apartment and we also don't know if she took something from AMy's or Tony's or parents house to use to hide the body. We have no idea of all the evidence that they collected and they are not going to tell us all that.
It is just way too quiet right now for comfort.
I do feel that JB knows they found something as why would he ask for all testing to seize.... LE does not have to as they haven't filed charges and don't have to hand over anything to him.

I have felt and still feel that LE is gonna' get her. I just feel it. They want her worse than we do, I think. Did you all see the face of the detective who said he would never give an apology to CA? Whew! He looked so angry but he also looked grief-sticken. They are not idiots. But, like many have said, it takes time to build a solid case. Look how twisty casey's lies were. It will take a while and lots of witnesses and other evidence to show how truly ridiculous her whole story is and wy it points to murder. I have confidence in them. I don't know about this special double jeopardy rule in FL. In the rest of the country, two charges stemming from the same set of facts does not amount to double jeopardy. And I have not seen this issue come up on NG or in any other news story so I would like to hear more about the subject. If what some posters are saying here about this is true, LE has made a critical error. But, I have a suspicion that it will amount to merely a defense tactic that will not work. Hope I'm right. I do feel that LE would have been better served by not charging casey with a anything so soon, because she lawyered up very quickly as a result. We would have heard so much more from her and her family as they attempted to squirm out of this issue, I think. I also have been very confused about the fact that LE did not seem to really search for Caylee's little body at the beginning, while it was clear they felt she was dead. Don't understand that. However, I trust that FL LE is much smarter and much, much more experienced in their job than me or than almost any of us on this site. So, I think they are simply doing their job and will charge her when they are ready, body or no. My gut just tells me there is much too much evidence already out there for this to become a cold case. And I don't think LE is putting out false leads. Defense attorneys can do that and do do that all the time, but for LE to do such a thing would result in a huge lack of confindence in their veracity at time of trial. I just haven't seen LE do that kind of thing in the past. I think they are simply strategically leaking evidence so they can keep the pressure on and keep the case hot. JMO

Here are my thoughts on this bizzare case, I feel that LE has got plenty of scientific things they are testing about 2 weeks or so after this story broke on NG she stated that LE had said the took over 30 items for testing from the car alone, Now if you think about the leaks that have come out we dont know about nearly that many and I dont think at this point we really need to know (dont get me wrong I would love to know all the evidence they have at this point) but not if it is going to jeapordize the case...Also during in interviews with KC the LE made it abundantly clear that it would be much easier on them if she told the truth about what she knew, but they also stated that they always find out what happend, and I think in this case they absolutely wont stop until it is figured out..And everyone keeps saying that the leaks are to get KC or her family to crack, I dont think that at all I think that it is to get her friends to start talking more, And you know how it is with a bunch of friends they get together compare stories and at some point one of them will deliver a bombshell to LE..I also feel that we all think that it is so easy to just bring charges and put her in jail, but at this point LE knows where she is and they are not having to worry about feeding her and keeping her in protective custody (tax dollars) why not let her family take care of all of that until they have what they need to take her down.

I still have yet to hear anymore about the bones and clothes found at Blanchard Park and also a few weeks prior to that find CSI was out there collecting other things, We have no idea if anything they took from that park is involved in this case, but I do know it was after the bones & clothes were found that the LE searches were called off, so with that said I am not sure if they found Caylee, or if maybe the clothes alone have something to do with this case, but I can tell you if you think the community is upset about this case, imagine being part of LE that she look in the eye and lied to or someone who is working 24/7 on this case and I think they will not stop until she is under the prison.
