Police searching for critically missing 10-year-old boy, last seen in Northeast DC



D.C. Police need the public's help in locating a missing 10-year-old boy who was last seen in Northeast Washington on Thursday afternoon.

Dequan Simpson is missing from the 1400 block of Rhode Island Avenue, NE. He was reported missing at 2:15 p.m.



Police describe Dequan as a black male, who stands between 4-foot-6 and 4-foot-8 inches tall. He weighs around 120 pounds and has black hair.

Dequan was last seen wearing a blue shirt with tan pants and black Nike shoes. He was also carrying a clear backpack, according to police.

Still missing... and he is only 10 :-(

bumping again. Where are you, little guy? there is nothing, we have no idea where exactly he was last seen (school, home, the market) nor by whom, I can't find anyone who is looking for him. Heartbreaking.

and I am frustrated there is not more interest here but then again, there really is nothing to sleuth at this point. He looks sad in that pic, like an old soul, kinda lost...

He may be simply watching a video game and has that glazed over video game look on his face, but to me he just looks sad.

Where are you Dequan? Are you safe? Are you hiding? Are you hurting?... ugh, awful...

it actually says he may be with her...

I agree that it seems likely with what's been reported but for accuracy's sake, it only says that he may be with her.
