Head of Washington, D.C. Preschool Arrested on Online Child Abuse Charges: 'Deeply Unsettled'

The head of an elite preschool in Washington, D.C. has been arrested on online child sex abuse charges, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia.

James Stewart Carroll, the head of school at an early education center in Northwest Washington D.C., was arrested and charged in connection with attempted enticement and coercion of a minor on Tuesday, Nov. 19, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia.

He was caught thanks to an employee at instant-messaging app Discord, who flagged child sex abuse material uploaded to an account the FBI traced back to Carroll’s home and workplace, after which it ensnared him in an undercover sting, according to the complaint.

A British head teacher at an elite preschool in Washington D.C. was arrested on Tuesday after he allegedly requested graphic videos of a nine-year-old boy from the child's FBI agent father.

An undercover FBI agent assigned to the case made contact with Carroll via Discord using a fake profile, and was reportedly told by the Brit that he was interested in 'boys only' between the ages of eight and 12, it is claimed.

Carroll also allegedly told the agent that he was interested in watching 'relentless' sexual abuse and said that if the child is crying 'I get more turned on'.
