D.C. police are asking for the public's help in finding a missing 37-year-old woman who hasn’t been seen since July.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, Latrice Nelson was last seen around 8:45 p.m. on July 16 in the 600 block of Edgewood Street, NE.

She was reported missing on Sept. 5.

Nelson is described by police as a 5-foot-4, 140-pound black female with a medium complexion, long braids and brown eyes. It’s unknown what she was wearing when she was last seen.

• Distinguishing Characteristics African-American female. Brown hair, brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, Nelson's hair was styled in long Senegalese braids with gold accents. She has a tattoo of a butterfly on her right hand, a tattoo of a cross on her left arm and a tattoo of the name "TAIJHON" on her left hand. Her ears are pierced.
