I agree. That's what I found interesting is the fact that IF they did search that exact area previously then it's pretty obvious he just came to be there in the last few days or so. From what I have seen they have done a commendable job searching that park. It's huge! They have searched a lot of area, but like the Chief said, they still have a lot to cover. I believe they have been very well organized in the search and very thorough.

LE has often searched an area a body was found later. There was a case a teen girl killed a little girl out of jealousy and police had gone all over the area she led them to the shallow grave

I haven't checked my twitter since before the evening press conference. Just now getting around to it and this tweet I found to be pretty interesting! I wonder if that's speculation or if that particular area was indeed searched previously?

During the PC, Chief Lanier herself said the entire area had been searched to some degree.

I'm not sure I even believe the comment regarding Relisha being taken care of if anything happened to KT and his wife. Was it a comment to groom the adults? Or is it another lie from the adults to "explain" what a great guy Tatum was and why he was trusted???????

I may be wrong but I think SY likes her "lifestyle" and herself waaay too much to end it. IMO

It is hard to even think this, but I would be relieved if this sweet baby girl was found buried in the park. I would rather know she was flying with the angels, than have to consider the obvious alternate reality that she could be suffering through. :rose:

I agree with you . It's a horrible two options we have to WISH for but I always wish for angels vs a life of unimaginable terror .
I am entertaining wild things like he hid her somewhere safe and she's got cheetos and nintendo and just waiting to be found and was never harmed. But that is just the dreamer in me. But I still hope for it. :)

I'm saddened this morning. With the finding of Tatum, I expected a flurry of activity here at WS. But, instead there are only about two dozen people even viewing Relisha's page.

Update: DCPD is trying to determine how long #Tatum's body was @park. Area where it was found was previously searched

The lime (Calcium Oxide) he purchased will have been for Relisha's body, mistakenly thinking it quickens decomposition. It does not. It will be helping preserve her body so if she is found soon the extent of Tatum's crime and anyone who aided him may yet be discovered.

I was thinking his first visit to the park after buying the bags was just an attempt at distraction, and Tatum had actually disposed of her somewhere else. But when I heard about the lime and the photo he kept of her, I changed my mind. The mistake about the lime shows he was cunning but not too bright, and the photo suggests to me he wouldn't have wanted to have Relisha too far away when he killed himself.

So I think he has buried Relisha about a mile away from where he was found. I reckon he'd think that was a safe distance. The limes suggests she will be buried and not in water. Hopefully, the lime might start to damage or discolor surrounding vegetation and little ones' gravesite will become visible. I'm not sure of the effect of Calcium Oxide on plants. I suppose it depends on what they are.

I think a lot of people have just had the wind knocked out of them with this latest discovery and are trying to absorb the news. No one is forgetting this sweet child.

I agree with you! She deserves more attention, but what else can we do? We can't MAKE people care, all we can do is continue to care ourselves. <3

I sincerely thank all of you have been and continue to be here for Relisha. I just will never understand why some missing are more important than others.

This picture of him in the middle, I don't suppose it's him in the park is it? I am just wondering if he might have had a favorite spot in the park and there might actually be a photo around of him in it. I'm not on FB or anything so I haven't really seen many photos.

I noticed there are loads of volunteer groups who clean the park on a regular basis - I'm wondering if Tatum ever joined one?

It is sad that there is not much attention on this case, I partly blame the family for this.
The story hasn't made much sense from the beginning, the family have changed stories, they are not in the media pleading and begging for help.

Relisha is certainly loved and cared about here, just a shame her own family couldn't do the same x

IMO, the middle picture is taken at a horse pasture. Maybe the pasture where the prison horse program is? Not sure, but that definitely looks like a helmet one would wear when riding a horse. JMO.

I can only speak for myself here. I tend to follow a few cases at a time. Otherwise facts start getting blended together. Not to mention the mental strain. Some folks on WS have followed a case for years of a missing person. They are all important. I was happy to see a vigil for Relisha. Perhaps some locals are just getting wind of this since Tatum was found. From what a few locals have posted this area is not a good area at all. Many might be home praying for this little angel. Just some points to ponder :seeya:

I think it will suppress the smell of the decay.

I use lime on a part of my yard to prevent umm forget what it is called, from growing. Anyway, to lower the PH. Oh moss. :floorlaugh:

Have there been any reports of any member of Shamika Young's family joining in on these searches to find their missing eight year old relative?
