SY, MYT and AY all talk as if there's nothing wrong, and they're just going through the motions until this all blows over. They're so matter of fact. It's so disturbing no matter how many times I see/hear them.

I hope nobody thinks that I am defending KT, because I'm not, I just worry that maybe the focus has shifted to the wrong place....Especially now the police have said he wasn't heavily involved in child porn etc...

I have not been following this too closely, so I missed the police saying this. Were they saying there was just a little bit of involvement in child porn like a little is ok?

They said they knew the man in the picture police were asking about. I believe the lady announcer said the grandmother? said she saw him at the shelter?

IIRC, the female anchor said the grandfather pulled her aside and showed a pic of KT with a couple of guys, one being the man from the video...said he knew who the guy was but didn't know his name ?? Then IIRC, grandma (and maybe grandpa) said they didn't know him, but had seen him at the shelter...

And I know this, whch is what made it hard to reconcile in my head. I guess what I was trying to get across was that in the first instance it would seem she wasn't creeped out by him as such...I know that doesn't make much sense and I am trying hard to put it as clearly as I can, just not having much luck.

I think its the lack of other people coming forward about this man that has me questioning a few things. To me, its not the kind of thing that he would do as a one off if he was a pedophile...Wouldn't he have done this before to other girls...I know one other woman said that he tried to buy her daughter gifts and she put a stop to it, but I keep wondering if he was a generous man with what he had...Is there a difference between spoiling and giving to children who lack so much and grooming...

Was somethign about the school as well. Shamika said the school was at fault because they didn't follow up and ask questions about who the doctor was....

Kinda reminds me of when lance Armstrong wanted to blamed the postal service for believing him when he repeatedly lied about doping. Because why would you tell a lie, if not because you want someone to believe it?! The comparison is probably too simplistic, but really, how about we all try not lying and see how that goes for a change!

Big question: the school contacted Shamika on 2/25 about the absences b/c Relisha had reached the max number of consecutive unexcused absences. Shamika then gave Relisha to Tatum on 2/26.

WHERE WAS SHE BEFORE 2/25? And WHY was she not at school?

There was something going on before then - and Shamika gave Relisha to Tatum to cover it up and keep her away from authorities/school. MOO

I keep wondering if Tatum did bring Relisha back on the Saturday before her birthday. I hadn't heard this before but the neighbor has no reason to lie. And, maybe something happened to Relisha on the family's watch:

This is good news because it probably means they didn't find disgusting videos or anything involving RR or other children in the searches. It lessens the chance she was sold into absolute horror.

Unless he cleaned it out. He knew what his plan was before it happened. And he had known he was being looked at. He had time to clean up. Also with all the apts, motel rooms and everything, do they even know where he spent his time? Or where he was staying during that time that LE was looking for him?

No, but she may have had cotton mouth. She had white stuff in both corners of her mouth and she had what looked like a sty under her lower lid and above her cheekbone.

BBM: He probably has done this to other little girls, IMO. Pedophiles typically abuse for years before they're caught, if they're ever caught at all. As I've previously stated in my posts, KT was not charged with child abuse, so in our court of law he was/is innocent until proven guilt...but IMO, he had all the classic symptoms of a pedophile, and as stated in one of the interviews from today, he was a "skilled child predator". My opinions are all MOO from personal experience.

BBM: Child sexual abuse and child porn are two different things. While child porn IS child sexual abuse, sexual abuse does NOT always involve porn.

Per Webster's online dictionary, the definition of porn is: movies, pictures, magazines, etc., that show or describe naked people or sex in a very open and direct way in order to cause sexual excitement.

Hope I'm explaining this well. Ok, so as an example, I was sexually abused as a child, but there were no "movies, pictures, magazines, etc.," involved, so there was no child porn in my particular case, but there was still child sexual abuse.

I just want to throw this out there re: KT involvement in porn or not . He's an older fellow, older than me anyway and when I was in school no one had computers so KT and folks his age are not as adapted to the internet age as folks , say my age and younger. That is not to say that TONS of people his age are not online, just pointing it out. My husband is 54 and gets online maybe twice a year after a few beers to listen to youtube concerts of his old favorite singers. It lasts about an hour or less and he does not know how to ' surf the web' or send an email or ebay or chat or anything else, nothing! In his world, the computer has little importance whatsoever . So if they searched his (KT) computer and found no evidence of porn, that would mean little to me. Just food for thought.

The news anchors said MYT told them SY was always a heavy sleeper, so Relisha would dress her brothers and take them to eat at the Shelter when SY was sleeping. I say that SY and AW/TW were passed out from drinking/drugs and that's why neither of those sorry a$$e$ cared enough to get up and take the children to eat!

Exactly right! I don't care how heavy I sleep - when my child is up so am I. I can sleep thru a storm but as soon as my girl calls for me in the middle of the night I leap up. I think it is instinct for me and I don't fault anyone who is a heavy sleeper but I doubt anyone can sleep with 4 kids in a one room shelter .

Also....I thought Grandmom recently said on a talk show that those kids hardly spent a night at the shelter....but yet Relisha had to get them dressed in the morning?? "What a tangled web we weave..."

The white stuff in the corner of the mouth is not cotton mouth...you can get that from toothpaste, food etc. Styes are caused from a bacterial infection in a sebaceous gland.

And I apologise for bringing it out that I may have been defending KT...You have certainly helped me put it into a different head space.
