I think we can all agree that the blue car story was absolute horse sh...crap. The reason for that money is SOMETHING illegal IMO, either drugs or something related to the case, and they're trying to cover themselves.

IIRC, during the WUSA9 1-hour special last night, one of the male news anchors stated he had spoken with the family's lawyer and verified the car accident & settlement. I watched live during the broadcast, so that link is no longer available...I'll see if I can find an archive of the video.

On WUSA's special last night, they said they verified the insurance money and she received shortly after Relisha was reported missing by LE.

Thanks, popsicle! I just posted a reply saying the same thing. Glad to know I heard what I thought I heard. :smile:

Thanks, I missed the special! I still dont understand how a single car accident into a tree provides a pay out in any way, shape, or form, though.

(could it have been insurance fraud? claiming more people were in the car than were actually there??)

they did? I missed that.

Yes, they did. I heard it too...one of the male news anchors said he personally spoke to the family's lawyer.

Ok, so the pic of SY on the hood of a car came from a SM link and is now gone...not allowed. But I will rewrite my comment. Five people were reported to have been injured, two seriously and one had to be extricated. With the baby and two thin adults in the back and SY, the driver and another thin adult, in the front, they could fit. From the Washington Post link, a few pages back, the car appears to be a Crown Vic.

Could have been insurance fraud, wouldn't be the first time I've heard of such things. smh!

ETA: Retracting & deleting my comment about it being suspect. After reading more about it, sounds like a legit car accident with a bunch of people in the car.

I have heard of car insurance fraud where people have accidents on purpose (even getting hurt sometimes!), but that wasn't proven to be the case here. Their insurance company apparently did not suspect fraud, and they paid out the claims. So, that's all I got to say about that.

The injured passengers have to file a claim against whoever holds the insurance on the car...maybe even the driver.

I was probably yelling at the tv when they said that.

There's a guy on SM having a conversation with TW right now. He posted screenshots of their text messages.

On last nights show when SY was asked who she felt was responsible for Relisha being missing, there was this knowing smirk on SY's face. The expression on SY's face said it all. SY looked like she knew what the answer to that question was, and she knew/knows she herself is responsible. But there was no way SY was or is ever going to admit the truth. That's when she stated she blamed the government, school, etc. SY can blame everyone/everything else for what happened to Relisha, but she knows she herself is responsible, and the look on her face when asked this question proved to me that she knows what we all know.

I hope LE have heard all they need to from SY, MYT, AW/TW, AY, etc., and start making arrests.

AW was going to talk to the guy who posted the screenshots on his instagram but he changed his mind at the last minute.

Trying to decipher the 1st part of this quote from the linked article (:tyou: popsicle!):

(Snip)

Jeffcoat asked what more could the school have done? Young said, "They would have come out with the name from the start I would have known something from the start. Came out with the name of the doctor something could have been started... Instead of approaching my significant other as, 'Tell miss young her doctors called and she's cleared' He could have approached it another way but they didn't so."

Relisha's mother blames everyone but herself and Khalil Tatum, the man police say abducted her little girl.

~~~~~~~~~~~
:thud:
The last part is pretty clear (as mud). SY refuses to take any responsibility, nor does she feel KLT bears any in Relisha's disappearance. This is despite the fact there is overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
If anyone can help me to understand the 1st part of the quote, I'd appreciate it. I think it doesn't make sense because it isn't suppose to. It defies logic because it's simply not true, and she knows it.
All I can decipher from that is she's upset the police talked to her THROUGH TW? And she wishes they would've asked about Tatum from the start?
Sorry that they asked about your daughter before they asked about the doctor. /eyeroll.
So she SY got this insurance money shortly after Relisha disappeared. That also means some of those pics she was taking showing it off, she was gone already? I keep thinking of the pic with all their J's (Jordans) on their feet. No Relisha....I just can't even begin to wrap my head around that, let alone anything that has been going on....it's just incredulous to me! :twocents:
Where are you baby girl!??
On WUSA's special last night, they said they verified the insurance money and she received shortly after Relisha was reported missing by LE.
Even beyond sending a child to to stay with a man/janitor who works at at the shelter, then pretending to school authorities that he is a physician, logic & simple arithmetic fail me: an unemployed mother living with her children in a homeless shelter, visits (last time she see's her child) the daughter at her sister's house & brings her $100+ Air Jordans. Yet, "The government failed her," " they could have done more."
That seems like a pricey purchase for someone without so much as a roof over her children's heads & it was before the auto accident insurance payout. Also, I remember Relisha's family talking about where she stayed at times her mother was "out of town". I am not accusing her of cruising on the QEII, but what the he!!?
She's right, "the government failed" .... to fairly dispense working, taxpaying peoples' contribution to those who deserve assistance. Having minor children gave that woman a place at the shelter, food, transportation & everything else, yet she was not responsible for anything! Not even protecting her defenseless little girl.
Question. That picture with the money in the lap was posted last year too. Is it common for people to post the same pictures over and over again? I don't have facebook.
