D.C. Deputy Mayor for Education Looking Into Relisha Rudd Case

D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray assigned Deputy Mayor for Education Abigail Smith to take a close look at how school officials handled the case of 8-year-old Relisha Rudd, who has been missing for more than a month.

Gray wants a full review of how the District handled the case.

And this ^^^ is why we are all here. We care about our families, friends, pets and most of all the children we all know and love. No one, not one person in this bunch, cared enough to help Relisha (and her brothers) from the situations their mother lived in and created. My heart hurts for our missing little girl.

I was playing with my granddaughter (just turned 2 years old) a few days ago - we are together three days each week. We were playing a little game we call 'Are you? and 'You are'. 'Are you' consists of: Are you a car, are you a kitty, are you a cloud, etc?. The 'You are' part consists of: You are smart, you are funny, you are loved, etc.. I say things to her and she asks/tells me depending on which game we are playing. She grabbed and hugged me at one point and said, I love you, Grah. I started to cry. Not only because my sweetest love had expressed her feelings for me; but, for Relisha as well. Relisha, our poor little girl who probably never had anyone that played with her and told her she was important, she mattered and she was loved. I can't even watch the dancing video anymore. She is never far from my thoughts.

The people in her life didn't care how she was or where she was, while she was alive. I don't expect anything different from them now that Relisha is missing and presumed deceased. I will never understand.

Where is Relisha? I firmly believe someone, somewhere knows. lease:

BBM. This thought never occurred to me, not sure why, considering that family. But, you are so right! In some small way, this helps me understand...well, not understand, because I will NEVER understand them...not sure what the appropriate word is, but it helps shed some light on their apparent lack of concern or emotion -- they didn't care about Relish (before she was missing), so why would they care now? :cry:

Excellent questions! I do not know about the shoes and the focus SY is placing on shoes - except perhaps an attempt to further muddy the water or because she bought her child shoes, expensive shoes, that makes her MTY.

In regards to the trash bags, lime and shovel, where were those items found? Was the box or bag of trash bags opened? Were any trash bags missing? Have LE gone over the hotel room with a fine tooth comb for any signs of blood or _________? I don't want to say what I have been thinking because I want this little girl alive and somewhere safe and sound with people who love her. :sigh:

BBM. I wonder, too. They have KT's iPad and 6 (IIRC) cell phones. Have they done computer forensics on them? If so, did recover any useful info from texts, emails, SM, etc...even deleted data can be recovered.

What about SY and MYT's phones? And since she posted her number(s) on FB, MYT's number is now public knowledge, and um, somebody (with the right skills) besides LE, could probably analyze it.

I wish it was possible to yank that coward, KT, out of the grave, and MAKE him talk! He holds all the answers, and they could very well implicate others. MOO. But, since he took the coward's way out, we have to deal with the living characters, and find a way to make them talk!

I know Chief Lanier said LE never close cases until they're solved, but we all know, cases get put on a shelf and go cold everyday. I pray that doesn't happen here. Relisha deserves better!!!

Hopefully, LE has something and they're building a case...and they can't say anything publicly because they don't want to jeopardize the case. That is my hope. raying:

Maybe. The family seems to like talk a lot and maybe LE is holding out that they will eventually give some information that will lead to Relisha. I don't understand why someone hasn't been arrested though. It is very frustrating

Yes, it does look like a black eye or a bruise. Can't make out the nose, but there is definitely "something" under the right eye. It could just be shadowing... the still pic flashes by so quickly before the video starts, it's hard to tell. Will see if I can freeze the frame, or perhaps download the pic. One sec...

Yes, it does look like a black eye or a bruise. Can't make out the nose, but there is definitely "something" under the right eye. It could just be shadowing... the still pic flashes by so quickly before the video starts, it's hard to tell. Will see if I can freeze the frame, or perhaps download the pic. One sec...

I was able to freeze the page and do a screenshot and save the pic as an image on my computer. When I zoom in on it at 200% and 400%, it DOES appear to be a black eye or bruise...and now I see a bruise or mark, not on her nose, but just below it, right above her lip. Again, could just be shadows, but looks like bruises to me. MOO.

Am I allowed to post my zoomed-in pic?

ETA: Actually, it might be too big and blow the margins here. I can just post the pic in default size, and you can zoom-in on your end. Assuming of course, it's ok for me to post it. Not sure, but I'm thinking as long as I include the link, it should be ok ??

IIRC I don't remember the date, but She had a photo of a newborn on her FB. I believe she had posted her friend had the baby and she had gone to the hospital with her. I don't think she was at the hospital for herself but to be there with a friend. JMO

I don't know Relisha. I don't know how she would react in different situations. I don't know her family other than the things that have come out since Relisha went missig. I did not know Tatum. What I do know is that usully in these situations there is usually someone out there who knows part of the story. Someone who may know just a little piece of the story. Someone who might be waiting for police to come up with the answers on their own, or for someone else to step forward. Someone who may think it is too late.

But if they are reading here, I know that what they know bothers them. I am asking that person to go to police. That one little piece of information could lead to Relisha being found.

I am asking that they do it for Relisha. But it will benefit that person, by getting it off their mind. It will also help in getting media out of their neighborhood.

Everytime I come here day or night I see there are guests on this thread. No I can't see who. But experience tells me that one or more is here because they know something. Something they haven't told. Something that bothers them. Maybe just a little thing, but something. Help find Relisha, no matter what you think may have happened. Please. Whether it is to have her found or to allow her to be buried, please.

Contact law enforcement. Talk with an officer and tell what you know. Then they can fit your info in with what they already know. That little piece of info you may be holding onto could be the only piece of the puzzle they need or it could be just one more piece to add to the puzzle.

I'm just going to toss something out here. Not even sure what made me think if this because all along I have thought KT was guilty and was perverted. What if KT felt bad for the way Relisha was being raised and decided to take her away from that lifestyle. He found people that would care for her properly. He killed himself because he knew he had taken her and found her a good home and wanted to protect her from being found. He did it all for the salvation of Relish. I know that probably didn't happen, but what if? I don't know how the death of his wife would figure into it though.

If you look at the other pictures that were taken at the same time IMO due to hair, burettes etc , there is no bruise at all on her face any where..
