The same day he bought those items he was in that park for several hours. Relisha has never been seen again since the day before, with him. That is all MPD has told us. moo

Chief Lanier has stated that many things led them to searching there.

Sadly that is were I thinks she is

Do we know more about his job? Did he have a second job?

Did his keys for his job at the homeless shelter open up any other facilities that we know of?

When the search of the park began, and after, LE sounded very sure of the evidence they had that lead them to the park. I think Relisha is in the park or in one of the areas surrounding the park. I hope there will be volunteer searches of those areas. I haven't heard anything in the media about any searches planned though.
I haven't seen any other job or location for work mentioned for KT, but we have heard all the stories about monetary and other gifts he was giving to RR and other girls at the shelter. I believe his wife worked, too. It could account for extra income in order to do these things, but it would not be a surprise to find he had another job (legal or illegal). People believe he worked with horses during his prison stint, but I haven't seen proof to back this up. He does have photos of him at stables with horses. Could he have worked in the area with horses?

One of the keys was probably to his unit at the storage facility the police searched.

Court documents also show that police searched a storage locker on South Capitol Street rented in August of last year by the Tatums. The documents say the last payment was made on March 3, two days after Relisha was last seen, and the rent had been paid through March 31.

Let's take a realistic look at the park...

The photos I saw showed a line of LE doing shoulder to shoulder grid searches in the park. We have learned by people in the area, the ground was frozen and it would have been extremely difficult to dig and bury anything. LE didn't find any sign of RR.

Where in the park could he have placed her above ground? In one case, bodies were placed inside a rotted out tree and the victims would never have been found without the killer leading them to the bodies. The buildings were probably searched, but did they search the roofs? Are there places a janitor would know to hide a body the rest of the public or LE would not think about?

That takes us to the river...

Where are the searches up and down the river after the initial searches? The river is a long one and she had been missing almost a month.

I hate to type this but he could throw a body in a bag in one of hundreds of dumpsters anywhere between here and Richmond.

Has there been any mention of outside search resources like KlaasKids Foundation interested in getting involved?

Or Texas EquuSearch ??

In every lie there's some truth but how do we distinguish between them. MYT & COMPANY has told some many lies that it's like the little boy that cried wolf. SY is definitely disconnected emotionally but that has a lot to do with her upbringing... when the pain is too much, your mind learns how to turn off emotions as a defense. She never had that good mother-daughter relationship to truly understand that bond. She learned dysfunction, neglect, & inattentiveness. And, I'm not taking up for SY in anyway but that combined with mental issues...is her make up, unfortunately. Every woman that has a baby...is NOT a mother. JMO but it's my experience as a child of abuse. My only difference is that I made the decision... my children would never feel as I did growing up.

Le is definitely staying tight lipped with this investigation. We still can't figure out why KT killed At??? What was his motives??? We don't know... we just have assumptions which some are very good...IMO. They won't tells us if the same gun or not. They won't tell us if the previously searched that area that KT was it locked, unlocked, pried open, etc??? They won't tell us who the person in the video was??? They won't tells about this passport they have. When was it issued??? Who got it made because you need birth certificate, social security card, etc to get it made. If KT did this, where did he get these documents from??? What phone pinged in Gilpin Court??? Why haven't we seen the exit video of the famous hotel video of KT & RR walking into the hotel room??? What is that LE has that makes them sure of March 1st being the last day Relisha was seen alive. I ask that because just because that video was posted to FB on the 1st doesn't mean it was record on the first. I taped a video a year ago and posted it to FB recently... the post date is the date showing not the actual recorded date but this is just my opinion. Why did RSL pick KT up if both cars were outside??? Who is the owner of the white 76 GMC truck??? How did it end up in Hyattsville??? Because if it was RSL's that is completely across town from the area that he lives in??? Did forensics go through all 3 vehicles??? Has KT's body been released for burial or is it still evidence??? Who told GT that KT was shot twice & wrapped in a sleeping bag or is it another lie...or is another MYT & company famous lie??? Did anyone shot any footage of KT's body coming out??? IJS there are a lot of I's not dotted & T's not crossed.

Out of all the missing children cases, this one is the craziest. The people involved even though I wanted to say characters... lol. I'm not even sure of our timeline!!! Based of SY's comment about children couldn't not leave the shelter without an adult. I've come up with 2 things, true and false...1) True...Relisha didn't go missing from shelter because Relisha's drop off & pick up spot was AY's house like MYT said in an earlier interview upthread because they knew someone at shelter would see(shelter rule). . 2) False...her kids got to eat without adult supervision because she was a harder sleeper (shelter rule~broken).

Now the one thing, we all want to know....which is where's Relisha??? Is unknown still 24 days later...because of her sorry excuse of a mother & family. Baby girl, we are fighting your fight because you have become a national symbol of all that's wrong with our society. I will continue to pray for you every day until you come home. All of this is just me ranting & raving... & clearly my own opinion.

Thanks again for all the updates. Still catching up. Having said that I have been thru a very busy few days. Which I have eluded to earlier. I spent most of this week going thru written essays and grading them. Today thru Interviews I had the privilege of meeting with 12 Candidates. I will try to encapsulate all of this. I'm exhausted yet exhilarated. I talked with a teen who watched a Parent die and is inspired to go into medicine. Not only was that his only attribute he helps at camps. He noticed a child in another volunteer service he does and had bonded with. He bought him a pair of boots he needed for winter. The child was not embarrassed because they had a connection. That is what I looked for in choosing. Making connections. All of these kids had many Community accolades. Academics were a small consideration for these awards. Despite them all being achievers. Yet there were strugglers for many from their backgrounds. One made a point of having lunch with every new grade 9 sitting alone. That's what I graded. My last Interview today who going over the Essays with the Group early this a.m. was not even a consideration. He gave the best and strongest Interview. He won the scholarship. One of two for that sector. His Family Fostered from the time he was a young Child. If anyone has any doubt there are not good Families out there I saw it today. He spoke to how not only his Parents were his Mentors but he got the chance to pay it forward. I just had to pass this on. There are good Fostering Folk. And hope for the future. I have spoken earlier to this as to why I can be here. Balance. I truly experienced it today. There is hope. Still :please:
Bravo, Bravo! :) You have been working extremely hard and it is great you get to see the good in today's youth and beyond. We all need to know there are kids who are on the right track to become well adjusted and responsible adults in our society. It is called hope.

I do have a question. As you described the one candidate, I was comparing his actions to this and other cases. He worked with children, he found a weaker child, and gave a very nice gift. See...I view this the same way you do as he is a thoughtful and kind individual, but it is the same behavior as someone who is grooming a child. They are the same actions as KT who appeared to care for the children and give them gifts in order to make their lives more tolerable, but who killed his wife and probably RR. My question is how do we encourage people to be kind in this way, but draw the line at the same time?

You are right. It would have been easy for him to use a dumpster to dispose of her and it is my understanding the lime was used to control odor. Did they go through all the dumpsters at the park with a cadaver dog? I understand a search of the dump would be near impossible because she was gone a month before found missing, but did they search it at all?

What is within a half mile of the shelter? Any isolated vacant areas? Vacant buildings, trash strewen lots or wooded areas? Closed factories? I'd like to see areas like that searched.
You bring up a very interesting idea. Using the shelter as ground zero to search. It is the place that connects them all. KT's actions involving the park could stem from his childhood memories and have nothing to do with RR. I don't believe LE actually knows where RR was when she went missing or even who she was with at the time.

They desperately need volunteer searches going on to find RR. I don't hear LE talking about new areas to explore, but hopefully they are getting the tips to point them in the right direction.

Time to hit the maps. ;)

OT/So good to see you again. :seeya:

I don't think she is at the park. I don't think she is in the river. LE wanted Relisha, he gave them himself. Too much time has passed to pin point where she could be. She could be... anywhere - even across state lines. There was an amber alert issued. If Relisha survived KT, and he did pass her off to someone else, she could have the ability to survive another - although she would be the first that I am familiar. Shasta Groene comes to mind as a very strong survivor. Could Relisha be that strong?

"While she hasn't forgotten what happened to her, she doesn't want it to be the story that defines her. "I'm not a scared little girl that I was back when I was 8. I have grown up a lot and I'm really strong today."

Shasta is a junior in high school and says someday she might want to be a forensic scientist, a beautician, or possibly a therapist. Whatever career she chooses, she wants to help people."

No. I don't know how it works with KlaasKids, but I think with TE the immediate family or LE make a request for their services. TE has been through a few cases where the families were problematic and I got the impression long ago they shy away from this type of situation unless exclusively invited by LE. (Someone please correct me if I am wrong.)

I do see what you are saying and god forgive me being a timer here I had to not go there. Yet it was in the back of my mind. I cant go in to detail without mounds of info but off the cuff I was peaked. As the Interview moved on I felt the gesture was pure and true. I know I gave brief synopsis but these dang kids do camps, rescues animals, birds, work on farms hold downs 2 partime jobs. Well rounded.

ETA I have worked with sex offenders. I am not naïve. Just to add this.

Lanier said after Relisha was last seen, Tatum continued to go to work and was seen around the capital several times between March 2 and March 20. Lanier said Relisha was not with Tatum in any of those sightings. Tatum had not been seen since March 20.

http://www.cnn.com/2014/04/01/us/d-c-missing-girl/

Police said that Tatum “abruptly left before his shift,” and the social worker quickly discovered there was no “Dr. Tatum.” The worker contacted police.

You are correct. Tim was recently featured in a "The First 48 Hours" episode. LE was looking for the body of a young mother here in Texas. A member of Tim's team found her when LE couldn't locate her. They are amazing!

And you are right. I didn't mention RR possibly being somewhere alive. Of course, it is possible. She could be anywhere. People need to know her face and her story.

From what it seems RR has dealt with in her 8 short years, she is strong enough. I heard about her defiance and resilience. She is a remarkable little girl and Shasta is another. Triumph over tragedy is born in the human spirit.

Has anyone seen a real copy of the shelter's rules?

That whole "nobody is allowed to pick kids up at the shelter except parents" sounds wrong to me. That kind of takes the parenting away from the parent. I would have expected something more like only a parent can sign a child in or out of the shelter. A subtle difference, but it ensures the shelter that the parent is taking responsibility for the kids but allows the parent to make the decisions about whether or not they want the child to stay with friends or relatives. If that is the case, then there would be no reason for a dropoff anywhere else, except for the reason that they didn't want anyone in authority to notice that Relisha was with Tatum and how often.

Looks like they did do river searches. Second link says among the resources uses were under water cameras and divers.
