I don't think she is at the park. I don't think she is in the river. LE wanted Relisha, he gave them himself. Too much time has passed to pin point where she could be. She could be... anywhere - even across state lines. There was an amber alert issued. If Relisha survived KT, and he did pass her off to someone else, she could have the ability to survive another - although she would be the first that I am familiar. Shasta Groene comes to mind as a very strong survivor. Could Relisha be that strong?

SBM & BBM. Yes, I think so. She's been living a rough life, and she's probably pretty street smart and savvy (yes, even at 8 yrs old...I know I was, HAD to be, at that age). If she's alive, I have no doubt she could survive.

Looks like they did do river searches. Second link says among the resources uses were under water cameras and divers.
Thanks. I should have worded it differently. I meant...why aren't they still searching? It is a long river and had been a month.

Has anyone seen a real copy of the shelter's rules?

That whole "nobody is allowed to pick kids up at the shelter except parents" sounds wrong to me. That kind of takes the parenting away from the parent. I would have expected something more like only a parent can sign a child in or out of the shelter. A subtle difference, but it ensures the shelter that the parent is taking responsibility for the kids but allows the parent to make the decisions about whether or not they want the child to stay with friends or relatives. If that is the case, then there would be no reason for a dropoff anywhere else, except for the reason that they didn't want anyone in authority to notice that Relisha was with Tatum and how often.
I am looking. Found this so far:

~Snip~

Le is definitely staying tight lipped with this investigation. We still can't figure out *why KT killed At??? What was his motives??? We don't know... we just have assumptions which some are very good...IMO. They won't tells us if the same gun or not.

*They won't tell us if the previously searched that area that KT was it locked, unlocked, pried open, etc???

*They won't tell us who the person in the video was???

*They won't tell about this passport they have. When was it issued??? Who got it made because you need birth certificate, social security card, etc to get it made. If KT did this, where did he get these documents from???

*What phone pinged in Gilpin Court???

*Why haven't we seen the exit video of the famous hotel video of KT & RR walking into the hotel room???

*What is that LE has that makes them sure of March 1st being the last day Relisha was seen alive? I ask that because just because that video was posted to FB on the 1st doesn't mean it was record on the first. I taped a video a year ago and posted it to FB recently... the post date is the date showing not the actual recorded date but this is just my opinion.

*Why did RSL pick KT up if both cars were outside???

*Who is the owner of the white 76 GMC truck??? How did it end up in Hyattsville??? Because if it was RSL's that is completely across town from the area that he lives in??? Did forensics go through all 3 vehicles???

*Has KT's body been released for burial or is it still evidence??? Who told GT that KT was shot twice & wrapped in a sleeping bag or is it another lie...or is another MYT & company famous lie???

*Did anyone shoot any footage of KT's body coming out??? IJS there are a lot of I's not dotted & T's not crossed.

Out of all the missing children cases, this one is the craziest. The people involved even though I wanted to say characters... lol. I'm not even sure of our timeline!!! Based of SY's comment about children couldn't not leave the shelter without an adult. I've come up with 2 things, true and false...1) True...Relisha didn't go missing from shelter because Relisha's drop off & pick up spot was AY's house like MYT said in an earlier interview upthread because they knew someone at shelter would see(shelter rule). . 2) False...her kids got to eat without adult supervision because she was a harder sleeper (shelter rule~broken).

Now the one thing, we all want to know....which is where's Relisha??? Is unknown still 24 days later...because of her sorry excuse of a mother & family. Baby girl, we are fighting your fight because you have become a national symbol of all that's wrong with our society. I will continue to pray for you every day until you come home. All of this is just me ranting & raving... & clearly my own opinion.
Great questions and observations!!

And sorry...didn't meant to hijack the thread. Nursebeeme said to work!! ;) She scares me. hehehe

Do we have the number up for the tipline? Or the name and contact number for the investigating officer?

Just in case someone reading here decides to call in some info?

In other cases there has been instances where people have called the tipine with info and no one ever got back with them. Sometimes the tiplines get overwhelmed with the number of calls. If you have called in with info and no one gets back with you, please call again. Keep calling until someone does get back with you.

Adding to your post, Seriously.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/local...711a1c-b5e1-11e3-b899-20667de76985_story.html

The rules at this shelter seem to be 'made to be broken'. I am referring to the rules of the organization that receives payment for running the shelter, which is the Community Partnership for the Prevention of Homeless. The background check done on KT was incorrect. I believe the shelter residents when they report broken cameras, insufficient staffing, ignored curfew, marijuana smoking and the lack of resident identification. Add to that KT's behavior not being noticed or blatantly ignored. Residents report being threatened with being thrown out or are brushed off if they complain about the shortcomings in the way this shelter is operating.

I also believe the story of Relisha dressing her brothers for breakfast and going to the dining area unaccompanied by an adult due to Shamika's 'hard sleeping'. Why on earth should children be allowed to walk around this place alone?

The blame for all these rules being ignored lays squarely on the shoulders of the paid organization. It seems they will not respond to any inquiries and the Department of Health and Human Services replied on the shelter's behalf with canned answers (MOO).

Where is Relisha? :please:

Has Relisha's gift of the tablet from Tatum been taken for investigation by LE?

I believe that TES needs to be asked to come by the family. That will NEVER happen here, IMO.
However, I would ♥ LE to ask for the help.
I also read that the Federal Marshal's were involved at some point. I guess because Tatum was on the FBI Most Wanted list.
Are they still on the case, though?

Keep the faith.

Then, that would only leave one other place that those rules exist. Rules for employees of the shelter.

Why would SY be aware of what KLT's rules as an employee would be? Unless there has been some type of discussion about those rules.
I imagine that after spending 18 months in that shelter, plus how many years of using the system that those who live there, if they are of a certain mindset, probably pretty much know what they can and can't do, and can figure out who will and who won't bend, or break those rules.

I would also then think, that if there was this supposed "grandfather relationship" between KLT and Relisha, that SY and/or MY/T & Company had all ready worked out some type of arrangement to insure that none of the other shelter-mate's (for lack of better terminology) or an employee, who was a” rule follower”, would not notice anything.

We all ready know that KLT had been feeling other parents out by giving their young girls gifts. Some parents were willing to let their girls accept these gifts, up to a point, until they felt the dollar amounts or the items value crossed the line from being "just a friendly, caring man" to a "man who was looking for something". Others shut him down right away.

How many other parents have not said anything at all about KLT because it will bring unwanted LE attention, endanger their ability to continue to receive benefits, or even just draw unwanted media attention on them.

Forgive me if I am repeating something that has already been discussed .

There was also something mentioned in the warrant papers that has not been explored that I thought I would mention. I don't know if it is something that could shed light on anything or not.

the warrant that was issued on 3/22 to search KLT work locker ---
Link: http://apps.washingtonpost.com/g/doc...ms-locker/914/
On the day before, on 3/21, an employee [I did not print her name here] of the shelter forced it open and told LE it was empty. She also said lockers were not assigned, but "free for staff members to use on a first come first served basis"
The next day, on 3/22 another employee [I did not print his name here] and friend of KLT showed LE the locker that KLT used. There is an inventory of the locker hand written on the warrant.
Warrants are pretty much ‘matter of fact’ documents so this has me wondering if there could be a small clue here.

FYI
Here is the links to all of the warrants that have been put out by MSM that I know of.

"While she hasn't forgotten what happened to her, she doesn't want it to be the story that defines her. "I'm not a scared little girl that I was back when I was 8. I have grown up a lot and I'm really strong today."

Shasta is a junior in high school and says someday she might want to be a forensic scientist, a beautician, or possibly a therapist. Whatever career she chooses, she wants to help people."

I think Relisha is that strong. Whenever I think of her, imagine her singing her song about being strong (can't remember the name of it now?). This little girl seems like a tough cookie to me. She has already been through and seen enough in her short life.

Sending love and positive thoughts to Relisha!

Relisha's father is at least 20 years older than SY. He is a grandfather to children older than Relisha. So when she was 18 she got pregnant with a much older man's child.

My gut tells me that SY is the victim of years of abuse. Abuse damages the mind.

SY was in foster care in DC for 10 years. Where were her parents?

Having children with a much older man just reeks of emotional weakness from years of abuse and neglect. I think she was searching for a father figure. You know, "daddy issues".

I grew up around DC. People in the suburbs don't understand how rough the streets are in big cities. They are so quick to call people scum and trash but don't realize that there are generations of abused and neglected people crammed into housing projects and 'hoods'. I truly believe most of these people are products of their environments. The human mind is fragile and easily warped.

I don't believe anyone is scum or trash. I don't believe in evil. I do think SY and her whole family are of below average intelligence and lack the presence of mind to understand what is really going on around them.

With all that said I do think SY belongs in jail. The public needs to be protected from those who cause harm.

In Relishas family it seems they pay her no more mind than a random dog they lost or gave away.
I've never heard a missing child's family refer to them in the past tense whilst they are still actively and recently missing , either.

Thanks for this post. But actually it's worse than that. This "family" treats Relisha worse than a dog. If my dog was missing, I don't think I'd be able to sleep. I'd be constantly going to the door and the window to see if she had come back. I don't allow strangers to give treats to my dog. When I had to go out of town, I did 2 random pop-in visits to the kennel before allowing them to watch her. That's the reason so many people are angry about this case. We take better care of our pets than many so-called parents do of their own flesh and blood.:banghead:

:twocents:

My gut feeling is that these people, Relisha's family, are dumb. And I mean, they are just stupid people, they have low IQ's, they are idiots. I mean that in a scientific, biological, genetic kind of way. QUOTE]

There is also an undeniable cultural component in all of this.

This hip-hop and reality-show-fueled mentality has taught people to be PROUD of being scandalous, crass and ignorant. They mistake the attention they get on SM and TV for approval and validation of their destructive behavior. They are willfully ignorant and refuse to consider the effects that their actions have on others. Me me me me me! Then when their ignorant schemes backfire on them, it's "Why me me me me me?"

This is why I gave up cable. Pure garbage.

I was just watching Secret America with Lisa Ling. It happened to be her episode on human trafficking and was focused on the DC area. The program featured a lady by the name of Andrea Powell who works for a non profit called Fair Girls who are in contact with and help rescue victims of human trafficking. It would seem that she has contacts on the street and with LE and was thinking she may be a valuable person to tell about Relisha, if she isn't already aware. On the program she helped track down a missing child that was being held against her will.

If anyone in the DC area has heard of Ms Powell or is able to get into contact with her I think she may be an asset in the search for Relisha, if the poor baby is out there being violated.

  • #916
Have they talked to any of Relisha's friends and friends at school to see if she told them anything about where she is going and what is going on?

Has there been any leads at all on the clothes that were bought for Relisha they were asking about?

  • #917
You are right. It would have been easy for him to use a dumpster to dispose of her and it is my understanding the lime was used to control odor. Did they go through all the dumpsters at the park with a cadaver dog? I understand a search of the dump would be near impossible because she was gone a month before found missing, but did they search it at all?

You bring up a very interesting idea. Using the shelter as ground zero to search. It is the place that connects them all. KT's actions involving the park could stem from his childhood memories and have nothing to do with RR. I don't believe LE actually knows where RR was when she went missing or even who she was with at the time.

They desperately need volunteer searches going on to find RR. I don't hear LE talking about new areas to explore, but hopefully they are getting the tips to point them in the right direction.

Time to hit the maps. ;)

OT/So good to see you again. :seeya:

I know they traced him to the park that day. I asked awhile ago where else did he go around that time period he bought the bags, lime and shovel and when Relisha was last seen? Where else can they check the pings he went to. They should check there too.

Thank you for posting this! Found her on twitter too. Here is an excerpt from an article regarding human trafficking:

If you think someone is in danger, please reach out to FAIR Girls at (202) 265-1505 or [email protected] to talk. Or, you can call the National Human Trafficking Hotline at (888) 3737-888.

Here are some warning signs that someone you know may be in a trafficking situation:
•Unexplained absences from school
•Frequent disappearances from home/running away
•Sudden presence of an older boyfriend of girlfriend
•Isolation and seemingly uninterested in friends and family
•Unexplained bruises
•Scripted behavior or speech
•Unexplained cash or new things that they can not normally afford
•Excessive hotel keys or cash in wallet
•Planning a trip to work or travel somewhere with someone they barely know
