I've wondered about that too. I think if KLT was going to tell AKT anything, he would have lied to her about the nature of his interest in Relisha, while concoting a story he thought he might have a chance of convincing AKT of, but he was prepared for if AKT didn't accept what he tried to tell her. I'm still very curious as to what RSL and the other two witnesses were doing there that night, and why RSL went back to pick up KLT. Also, where did RSL and KLT go before KLT was dropped off at the metro?

Relisha was seen with Tatum, Lanier said. She did not say where the two were seen, only that it was "in the District of Columbia." Police have not confirmed any later sightings of Relisha.
The next day, Tatum bought contractor-sized trash bags and spent considerable time in Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens, police said. Sources tell News4 Tatum also purchased a shovel and lime, which can be used to speed up the decomposition of bodies.

Tatum was at the Gateway Days Inn on New York Avenue on However, another Days Inn guest who did not want to go on-camera told ABC7 he did see Relisha Rudd - not there at the hotel, but at the Virginia Williams Homeless Center on Rhode Island Avenue NE, around the 1st or 2nd of this month.

Lanier said Tatum, 51, purchased a carton of 43-gallon self-tying black trash bags, and later was in the area of the aquatic gardens in Kenilworth Park for a period of time. After that, Lanier said Tatum was going to work and was seen in D.C. through March 20, but Relisha was not seen.

I don't think Tatum thought he would be questioned further. I believe Andrea had seen charges for the various hotel rooms over a period of time, and thought he was having an affair. Divorce papers filed. Relisha with him even more now. Last known seen by her family on March 1st at Ashley's. Therefore, it's very possible Shamika didn't let him take her that day, if Shamika had already left Ashley's before Tatum returned to pick her up. I do believe Shamika knew he was coming back for her though. I don't believe a grand daugther exists. I believe he had been grooming this child for awhile, and probably violating her for awhile. I believe sometime after he picked her up on the 1st, he fatally injured her. He failed to seek medical attention because of what he had done. Rather than face police/er docs/etc., he took his chances and pretending all was well. I don't know that he had a plan for the end.

Once police started asking around for Relisha, he knew he was a goner. I'm still not set on my theory of why Andrea was killed. I don't know that she had ever seen Relisha! I can't find any statements from family stating they knew Andrea. Only Ashley, Melissa, Shamika and Tony have publically said they knew Tatum. Ashey's husband hasn't commented at all. Melissa's husband, George, said he had NEVER met Tatum. HOW? Doesn't he live with Melissa? Melissa said Tatum would give her rides when he saw her walking. How was it that Tatum eluded George? Of course Shamika, and Tony knew Tatum from the shelter. NO ONE knows this grandchild's name. No 8yr old kid calls another "Mr Tatum's granddaughter", nah, they would say Sally is my friend! I love going to Mr. Tatum's and playing with Silly. Did you know Tammy has a dress that I just love? Those are statements by a child. Not believing there ever was a granddaughter.

Now...I believe Melissa knew all along what was going on. I believe Melissa has used these tactics on her own daughters. I believe Melissa is the one that encouraged this to continue with Mr. Tatum. Remember, Melissa had Relisha's tablet that she got for Christmas long after the last time she claims to have seen Relisha! I believe Ashley was benefitting from someway, so turned her head to what was going on. I do believe Ashley's was the place Mr Tatum would pick up Relisha, and bring her back to. Family would then notify Shamika. I don't believe they had set dates for Relisha to be back near the end. In the beginning, it might have been for a few hours, or back by Monday type deal, but later, I think he took Relisha when he wanted her, and for however long he wanted.

Relisha wasn't seen in the hotel video until Feb 26, BUT, she had already missed at least 5 days unexcused at that point. WHY? What was going on that she couldn't go to school? I think she was injured, and possibly bleeding. Infection could have set in by the 1st, too late to do anything, or so he thought. Maybe bringing her back on the 1st was to see if Melissa could do anything? Maybe he told Melissa she's started her period or some bull crap? I don't know. But, there was a reason she wasn't in school prior to Tatum taking her in Feb.!!

So I'm not even sure if I have all the players names correct, but Tatum brings Relisha back because of injuries he caused or whomever he rented her out to, but Shamika's BF told LE that Shamika gave Relisha to Tatum when in actuality it is the family that has done something with Relisha. Tatum only killed Andrea when she wouldn't reconcile with him and was going to continue with the divorce. He in turn killed himself because he knew he couldn't produce Relisha and he knew the videos of he and Relisha checking in would be found and he knew there was no way he could convince LE he didn't dispose of Relisha. So, why isn't LE coming down harder on the family? Not worth their time? I don't get it!!!! :banghead:

In this interview with George Turner, it was quite telling when he said he felt KLT and AKT were killed trying to protect Relisha. He was asked what did Relisha need protecting from, and there was silence for a few moments before he responded with a friend of KLT was known to molest children or words to that affect, and he thinks KLT was protecting Relisha from this friend. Like I said, George Turner has his head in the sand! And the interview is hard to hear and hard to make out everything he says.

I keep wanting to know why LE hasn't arrested SY, MYT, and perhaps others, and I keep hoping LE wants to charge them with more serious charges. But why not arrest them for what they can now?

TY. Yes, ok, I did read that. I misinterpreted the original comment about kids being raised to recognize a perv (paraphrasing, sorry can't look up the post right now)...wasn't thinking in terms of the shelter, was thinking about KT's past, in his old neighborhood(s), that perhaps he was considered a perv for years before this case, and all the kids would be raised to know. Sorry to the original poster! Trying to work and follow the thread at he same time isn't working out too well for me, lol.

A couple of random thoughts:

I, also, think this situation was not a huge elaborate plan. I think they thought Relisha could go missing, Shamika could say she was with someone safe, Kahlil could play doctor and everyone would just leave it alone. The VERY scary thing is if they would have pulled this in the summer or transferred to "home schooling", they very possibly could have gotten away with it!

I wonder if it is possible Kahlil went to meet someone in the park that day, which is why he was there a while. I still have a feeling the baby is there in some form, but there are things that make me wonder if it is not bigger and badder.

I do not think Kahlil was a serious player in a sex trafficking ring. I think he was interested in the lifestyle and was dabbling to see if he could go further. Whether this means Relisha was already sold or had been killed by him when the walls started closing in on him, I don't know.

I also think it is possible that he knew he was done for. In order to not make Andrea go through the interrogation and judgement of the world, he could have killed her. In his own head, it could have been for her protection, rather than being angry or worried about her turning him in. I think he was already prepared to take his life, at that point.

I have a feeling that when the police either find her or make arrests or give us more information, we are going to have our mouths dropped open wide. I think no matter how much we have mentally gone through the possibilities of her family being involved, we will still be shocked. I hope this moment comes soon. It is time for this child or info to help us find this child to come to light.

SY is telling the children to say "Hi, Instagram!". Nothing was said about Relisha being seen at Home Depot. She was not seen there. From what was discussed in earlier threads, some locals said the VW Homeless Shelter wasn't/isn't an active resident live-in shelter anymore. It was said that after this place was no longer an active homeless shelter, it started to be run as a resource center instead. There was more than one witness who talked about KLT on March 1, one of which didn't want to be identified. That's why this report is confusing.

Yes, the MSM reports said KT was inquiring about affordable housing. This is probably because he had just been evicted the week before. A witness said he saw RR with KT at that time.

Just where do MYT and GT live? Back when this case first started, I saw video that gave me the impression MYT lived in the shelter with SY and AW/TW. That was before I knew who all the players were, so I could have been mistaken.

Forgive me if this post is scatterbrained but here are a few things I would like to highlight.

KT was evicted for not paying rent, yet he had spent at least $500 on hotel rooms in one month, that we know of. He also purchased a handgun.

What led LE to believe RSL was involved? Did they pull his name out of a hat?

How the heck did LE find out about this white truck? There are so many mysteries.

Police say Relish and the men may be in a white 1976 GMC truck with Maryland tags, 305015. Guests staying at the Inn tell us they saw nothing usual in the room, and if Relisha was there, they did not notice.
