I know you have discussed the point in which KT said if anything happened to him and his wife that Relisha would be set. So in that regard who would be the one set if all three of them were out of the way? I ask because if RSL's wife was second beneficiary that would mean RSL would have motive to make all three disappear. :banghead:

My insurance policy has two beneficiaries that are not my husband or children. People who I know that can manage money and make sure my children and husband would be cared for if something happened to me.

So that is why I am asking. Generally people leave money to their children and spouses and not to little 8 years olds and sister in laws. I just thought I would throw that out there because it keeps popping in my head.

Once again thank you guys for your awesomeness!!

Rickie Sheridan Lyles. He is one of the 3 men in the video at the hotel where Tatum's wife was killed. RSL was married to Tatum's sister who passed away in 2012. In my opinion, RSL is the scary one. While Tatum's charges were mostly for breaking and entering (I believe), RSL is a sex offender.

Sorry but my mind has gone a blank on RSL. Who is RSL?

Re Keith Warren's program. I have been listening every night. I am from Australia.

This family seems to speak a dialect. Difficult to understand.
One question I would like to ask is about the word "ASK". Do Americans pronounce it"AKS"? Everyone on that show including the host says AKS.

The host does not seem to be listening to any of the conversation going on. When there is a lull in the conversation he has a long pause and seems to then read someone else's comments. Not following through with what was previously spoken. He can never find his question. Long waits while he tries to find his question.

Also, another thing. Is it usual for people in America to not ensure they are in a quiet environment when going on the air. I have never heard so much background noise on a radio station. People having loud conversations, children crying, laughing and now tonight a dog barking non stop. Here in Australia the caller is told to ring back when they have gotten rid of the noise. JMOO

RSL was initially named as a person of interest. That label has since been dropped, as least by law enforcement.

I agree with everyone else's comments concerning the rest of your questions.

Oh wow. Does he have a new wife and I am all around off my rocker?

datalover - I commend your efforts but I pray that you are not putting your job in jeopardy. Most of the people that I know who are data analysts in the DC metro area either work for the government or are contractors with secret or top secret clearance. They don't play when it comes to their jobs because they don't want to lose them or their careers so I hope that this show does not end up adversely affecting you.

As as far as RSL, it appears that there is a Ricky Lyles and Rickie Lyles. One is the father and the other is the son. I hope that these zealous, emotionally-driven people are not making accusations against the wrong person.

Lastly, there is a petition that has been created requesting that Chief Cathy Lanier arrest most of the members of the Young family. The petition is poorly written and emotionally charged. You can't arrest people based on emotion and in a country that is already on a slippery slope as far as protecting the rights of its citizens I think we should be careful about witch-hunts that are not based on lawful fact. Unfortunately, parents do send their children to school unkempt and with dirty clothes. As a mandated reporter I have called on suspected neglect. That is not enough for parents to be arrested, though they will be investigated. Though we hate the way that Relisha was treated and we abhor all the fighting and inconsistencies that are taking place amongst the family members, I am not sure that there is a chargeable offense at this point. As far as Obstruction of Justice is concerned, a layman's opinion based on lots of misinformation being passed around in the media and on the internet, along with inconsistent stories from families members is not the same as a grand jury pouring over investigative material. Additionally, inconsistencies from eyewitnesses, which is normal, is not the same as tampering with evidence/information to hide a crime.

Ricky Lyles, the man who was in the initial Amber Alert. Brother in law to KLT. Alot of people here think he is heavily involved in Relisha's disappearance. I tend to agree.

Great post! Very good question! I have no clue as to the answer, but it is very suspicious if there was a life insurance policy and why did KT's wife have to be killed and then KT end up dead supposedly by suicide??? Hinky meter going through the roof about this supposed "insurance policy" and Relisha possibly being a beneficiary.

I've asked this before but is anyone else noticing the spike in shootings in both NE & SE DC...around the areas that are directly related to this case? Yesterday, there was a very high profile shooting. Witnesses said they heard up to 20 shots fired. It occurred very near the home of Frederick Douglas.

" Residents of the neighborhood said they thought the shooting might have been connected to disputes between residents of the area near the historic site and residents of other District neighborhoods.

However, police said they had no firm information indicating that such a dispute was involved. "

See, that's what I thought too that there would be no show last night. Maybe it was supposed to be a recording ? I dunno! I kind of hope there will be one tonight just to see what KW says about the vigil Saturday. I hope you find another websleuther to go with you if there is another vigil. I'm scared for you to go alone and I can imagine your hubby wasn't too happy either.

I got in big trouble for that. Hubby was NOT happy about it.

I haven't thought about that. Entirely possible. Okay and just now - there is a Rickie and Ricky - Ricky is the father and Rickie is the son. Can this case get any more convoluted? :truce:

Bootsctr, I can't bold on Tapatalk, but to your last sentence, I hate to say it, but I think we all know the answer to that question..... and that's a shame!

Also, I want to clarify that ebonics is not slang it is a dialect. Many people who say "aks" and who confuse verb tense were brought up in communities where people speak this way and so they pick up the language and they pass it along to their children. Many of them are corrected and "unlearn" it in school but because it is a cultural dialect that everyone around them speaks, many people sadly are unable to make a distinction between what they hear day in and day out in their communities and what is grammatically correct, especially if as children they have learning disabilities or behavioral issues which keep them out of the classroom for extended periods of time.

I work in SE DC and so I hear this verbiage everyday.

I think there is a connection to warmer weather and violent crimes. It's just something I have noticed over the years.

Apparently science backs this up, kind of?

As far as crime in DC, NE and SE DC have been hotbeds of crime and murder for decades. Crime started to go down over the past 10 years or so and some people attribute that to a greater police presence in addition to gentrification. A lot of the crime in DC just spread to other areas like the bordering PG County in MD. There has been a spike in crimes recently but I think it is just related to the culture in certain parts of DC. Many of these shootings are drug and gang-related and they involve young, black men who have no value for life.

Shootings, etc always increase in the area in the spring and summer. DC is an area where alot of people "hang out". I am not sure if it's the same way but in the projects (I visited one of the projects on Saturday going door to door handing out fliers) people were out on the lawns having cookouts and drinking. Babies running around in diapers. People sit out and drink and smoke, arguments get heated and bam. Or gang members (in DC they call themselves crews) come outside more and enemies know this. Hence alot more drivebys. People are just easily accessible when the weather breaks.

As far as the language, I agree with the ebonics comment someone posted above. DC slang are things like "Maryland being pronounced Murrland and strawberries being pronounced strawburry" Alot of people from this area talk like that. AKS is just plain wrong.
