I am not a business owner so forgive my ignorance but under what circumstances would they need $40,000 in CASH on opening day? I can see needing cash for the cash register, or general expenses....but I wonder why the reason for the request (assuming that is indeed what SS told his banker, associate, etc.) didn't trigger extreme suspicions.

They likely didn't. It was likely ransom money. Sounds like a lot of people should have become suspicious but for whatever reason didn't contact police.

He lists NYC as his "home" on Facebook. Good luck lasting too long on his share of the $40,000 in NYC. And any friends he has, stand to make $100,000 for turning him in.

He can't have fun with SS's money; they could have a fabulous time on the reward money and be heroes.

That's one version. But in other interviews, after saying she worked at the Dojo all day, she says the drop-off was "scheduled." That means the drop-off was planned ahead...I think in different tellings...she leaves herself open for people to interpret her role any way they wish. She went from a "know-nothing" to knowing all about it.

Maybe the facts are muddled because the purpose of the cash changed. Maybe it WAS originally for something business-related, but was never supposed to go to the house. Maybe SS thought of it as a last-ditch effort to give the guy enough of something to let them go. Maybe SS thought to offer a big wad of money that he could get delivered to the house, because it was already gathered to go somewhere. So he made a bunch of phone calls and made it happen.

Maybe the psychopath's intent was just to kill some rich people and take a fancy car. Then SS tried to buy their lives with a promise of money in the morning. And he killed them anyway. Because he's a psychopath. If he got into the house at the right time, he would only have to get control of one or two people at once. Then when SS gets home, he already has hostages. There are a ton of suspicious coincidences that are ripe for interpretation and make me think someone close to the family was involved. But I can also see how this could be a solo act.

Anybody want to revisit the burned out mansion of COO Don Pyle that killed him, his wife, and four grandchildren in January? That was Annapolis, MD. It was incinerated and burned to the ground with the family inside. Remains were for sure too burned to determine cause of death. It took days to even find remains. What if this guy gets gigs at wealthy people's fundraisers at their homes? Both families did this. At these affairs there are a lot of caterers, servers, always valet parking, bartenders, coat-takers, etc. Meanwhile the help has free reign of the home and the grounds. I've been to many of these events. It would be a great way to get access for a plan.

Far-fetched?
They released COD... thermal injuries and smoke inhalation.

They're also looking for information about the couple's blue 2008 Porsche with DC tag DK2418, which was seen at the home earlier Thursday, but was found torched in a church parking lot in New Carrollton, Md. around 5 p.m. Thursday.

It was seen in the home on Thursday but also seen racing on the street on Wednesday. So possibly suspect was already driving it on Wednesday. Presumably Amy didn't race down the street.

Would he be able to fly out of the country, being that he has a record? I'm asking, because I don't know and don't live in the US, so am not up on US law.

Having a past criminal record doesn't mean you can't leave the country. If you are on bail or parole or probation for a previous conviction would more than likely restrict you from not only leaving the country but the state and "county". Of course, there's that deputy recently who is being charged with manslaughter and they let him go to the Bahamas while on bail! Anyway, I digress.

I think a lot of these contacts have to be devastated that none of them picked up on the many signals Savvas was trying to send to them when he was desperately trying to save all of their lives. Why does it seem that the luck is always with the evildoer and not the innocent victims?

When he tried to call his wife that afternoon, Alfaro said, the phone went straight to voicemail. She didn't come home that night, and when Alfaro went to the house the next day to investigate, he saw something was amiss.

"I saw the two cars ... the Porsche was on the street ... I kept knocking on the door," he said.

U.S. Marshals and the New York Police Department believe Wint could be in the New York City area, multiple law enforcement sources familiar with the investigation told NBC 4 New York.

Fox5 said 12:15 PM has the time changed?

Oh gosh, I am praying the reason it has been pushed back is because they have arrested him.

Often that is the case or LE has received new information they are dealing with that would push the PC back.

"An investigator who spoke on the condition of anonymity said Wint may have worked for one of Savopoulos' businesses, the Associated Press reported."

** Sorry if this is "old" news

Wow. If true that would certainly be a connection and how he knew about the family. Although daily news claims it was reported by associated press and yet I didn't see anything like that reported by associated press.

They released COD... thermal injuries and smoke inhalation.

But a lot of people question that. I don't see how injuries to the deceased could be determined in such a fire as the one in Annapolis. But that's why I'm not a forensic pathologist. :)
