Darrell Wint took police to location 51st Pl and Frolich Ln, showed them a burned debris pile, zip ties in pile.
First mention of zip ties specifically?

The prosecutor mentioned the zip ties. DW said he didn’t know what the picture was of. Prosecutor showed DW a photo, but it wasn’t published in the courtroom. The attorneys approached the bench before this exchange.

So I guess he 'had to ' forget his cell phone in the cars because he had to explain why his phone was pinging the way it was.

So while he was partying with Ed, his alibi, who has since died, his phone was making its way to and from the crime scene.

Cell phone was probably just going to the crime scene for a slice of pizza that it hates or likes.

I soooo dislike DW... he activates my inner smarta$$

Thanks so much for your 1st hand reports,

Is the prosecutor making any headway against the defendant's story?

Where did you find information about his phone pinging @katydid23

That's where the van was burned. What was the significance of that?

I was just guessing why he bothered to mention that his phone was in those vehicles during those times? Why did he keep losing his phone in those cars and why bother to mention it?

The melted zip ties, I suppose, was one significant thing.

I believe so. I recall duct tape, and that residue from tape was found on the victims so I assumed tape was used to bind them but don't recall zip ties. MOO

Daron Wint has so far stuck to story that brother Darrell carried out the murders on Woodland Drive & he was angry with him until Prosecutor Laura Bach threw a curveball. Wint said he did not know Darrell had given interview to police and took them to where van was set on fire. This from Paul Wagner, stay tuned for the full explanation.

One of the women testified that DW had multiple phones: one for incoming calls and one for outgoing calls. Carried in paper bag.. Poor DW, he was with dead Ed, and no phone(s) while family was being tortured and murdered. I think the jurors must be smirking!

The Mansion Murders trial has broken for lunch. Daron Wint is still undergoing cross examination by prosecution. Place is packed. People listening in overflow courtroom. Housekeeper Nelly Gutierrez is here listening to the testimony.

He’s sticking to his story but there’s a lot of “I don’t recall” He hasn’t seemed upset or flustered in my opinion. His story is ridiculous, but his demeanor has been good.

Do we know yet how Darrell knew where the van was set on fire? Will Darrell be a government witness on rebuttal?

Sociopaths are very good at keeping a calm demeanor when necessary.

My guess is he will be called as a rebuttal witness. Hopefully I’ll be able to be here for that.

That will be an amazing thing to see---his testimony and the cross. It will be the difference between GUILT or INNOCENCE in this case.
