Yes. Meghan Cloherty tweeted that the prosecution will officially rest this afternoon. I planned to attend the afternoon session but not sure now.

At the lunch break, prosecution thinks it has rested its case. Called a few witnesses to firm up details this morning. Now both parties taking time to tie up loose ends and stipulations before prosecutor Chris Bruckman says they’ll officially rest the case this afternoon.
What happened before lunch? Bruckman has another surprise?

I'm not sure if I'll go to court this afternoon if not much is going on, but I wanted to tell you guys I'm taking a vacation day on Monday to watch the closing arguments. I'll be there early to get a seat.

What lower charge? Aiding and abetting is not a separate charge. It is a theory of the case and how the defendant could be found guilty. You never know what a jury is thinking and you need to cover all your bases in terms of jury instructions to help the jury analyze the evidence and reach the conclusion you want.

Thank you very much! I misunderstood and thank you for letting me know that aiding and abetting is not a charge. I thought it was a new charge.

Probably MAC.

JMO
But why would they care about these witnesses in this case? Are you thinking they were involved? Or maybe defense is putting that idea out there?

IDK.

What security concerns? That's interesting.

Probably people that have to return to their neighborhood after testifying for the state. Probably for the same reason why they did it for DrrW.

Many believe snitches should get stitches.

The prosecution doesn't want any witnesses who testified to be harmed. They are responsible for their safety while at the courthouse.

If that happened others wouldnt want to come forward in other cases.

Imo

Re: Probably people that have to return to their neighborhood after testifying for the state.
Ok - so 2 witnesses get escorted by court officials "out bldg through a private exit Wed";
only to return to their neighborhood where they may get stitches for being snitches.
I hope these witnesses are alive for the 2nd trial because this trial will likely end in a hung jury / mistrial.

They don't have a choice of coming forward when they receive a subpoena.

It was reported that DarrW Goo was charged with attempted murder in the MAC/gang snitch case, with DarrW Goo’s charges reduced, but the jury doesn’t know any of that.
If the MAC knew DarrW Goo was going to talk/ testify in court maybe they’d want to silence him, as he tried to silence someone previously...

JMO from what I have read...

Yes, I understand. But I'm wondering who wants to harm these particular witnesses in this case and why?
