I am having a similar reaction with a different conclusion. I am uncomfortable with some of the insider gossip on this site. I wrote a post to that effect that was deleted, probably because it was directed at a specific poster. But I will say, in general, that the family has made it very clear that they want complete privacy. We should respect that and not post about the surviving family members.

I can agree about posting stuff about the family but on this site I haven't seen anything to that effect, it's mostly been sleuthing about the suspect or suspect(s). Sleuth is defined as to carry out a search or investigation in the manner of a detective & I thought that's what this site was about. I've seen some disturbing stuff from an individual about the family on another social media platform, but I think the MODS have done a good job making sure we are respectful of the family.

It's natural for the people here to have questions. That's what we do. That's why we are here. If you feel uncomfortable about people speculating and questioning different aspects of this crime, this may not be the place for you right now. I don't think I would be able to be here if I knew this family personally, it would bother me.

Is this directed at my earlier post? I am not at all uncomfortable about people speculating and questioning different aspects of the crime. I knew the family but was not at all close to them. I'm here because I want to see justice. I'm more horrified about this crime than pretty much any crime I've heard about. I do have some ambivalence about following these posts. I think the speculation about the crime is harmless and may even be helpful. The speculation about the victims and survivors makes me uncomfortable. I have posted about the neighborhood because there have been some misconceptions but I have not posted anything personal.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that I see a plea deal coming, I don't see a trial in this case. jmo idk

I think it depends on how much evidence they accrue. What incentive is there to give him a plea deal if you can put him away for the maximum? I'm assuming that LE is putting together a case/cases on any co-conspirators that will stand without DW's cooperation.

It is implied in the charging doc that the text said to pick up a package ("This text was addressed to w-1 and the text directed IT to meet the other employee on Thursday morning in
Hyattsville to pick up the package"), but JW did not receive a package ("W-1 stated what actually happened was the other employee took four bundles of money from the employee's
pockets and placed the money in a red bag which belonged to W- 1"). That's why I say the AIW employee may have done it wrong if indeed the text had said to pick up a package.

You made a number of speculations that may or may not be true and I was pointing them out since you asked for confirmation in your post.

bbm where? what?

As far as JW I think (at the moment) he is innocent. I think there was more then one call between he and SS and he was confused when answering ?'s by LE. If I have it right, He was contacted the 13th (nite) to pick up package at the office. He was given package and told to deliver it to the home on his way to chantilly office, correct? Before he arrived to deliver package he called 10 minutes before arriving. He missed a call in the afternoon of the 14th. I do think he was confused with what happened as to when and who he spoke to. I think he deleted his social media accounts because he knew the world was looking and not just his friends. jmo idk

Yo SI,bbm IF little word means alot< not a word. You forgot the word if.

bbm where? what?

I've already done a post pointing out what were speculations, but since you are asking again I'll bold the parts from your original post that are speculations that haven't been confirmed as facts or have been affirmatively confirmed not to be facts:

Before he arrived to deliver package he called 10 minutes before arriving. He missed a call in the afternoon of the 14th."

All of that is correct if you have a link that says it is incorrect please post it. TIA

"If I have it right" means you think you are stating something as fact but aren't sure. It's not the "if' part, it's the "right" part, which we don't know which is right. It may be right or it may not as we don't know.

They won't be bargaining with DW for sure. Laws differ but I'm hoping they can raise the stakes to a death penalty, not sure about DC.

The charging document does not say what time the text was received; the charging document says W-1 went to the bank and received cash directly from an AIW employee rather than receiving an envelope at the AIW office as JW had originally said happened; the charging document says nothing about what JW was supposed to do after going to SS's house; there has been no third party confirmation/footage that we are aware of showing when or if JW arrived other than that he said he did these things; there has already been much discussion on here as to whether or not the call was missed where we don't know if he picked it up or not.

In the original story, W1 didn't say he got the envelope at the office. He said he and other employees met at the AIW office and went to the bank. As far as I can tell this is not the part police are accusing him of lying about.

No death penalty in DC. So they can't offer to take it of the table.

I don't want to think JW is guilty either! From all we know about him, he seemed like a happy young man with a beautiful smile. I just have one problem, why did he tell LE that he tangibly unlocked the car with a key he retrieved from inside garage? He then said car was unlocked, and he locked it after he deposited the $$$ then closed the garage door. We just need more info.... If the key was indeed accessible from the garage and he had access to it, then I can believe he might have made a mistake.... However, if ithe key is either locked in safe and he does not have combination, or in the house, then JW
made a serious flaw in his story.

For some reason, my instincts tell me he's innocent, and there's an explanation. I sure hope so... He doesn't seem like a monster.

Now two police sources have told CNN that traces of blood found on Wint's shoes matched one of the deceased, but would not confirm which victim.

Reports like this, using unnamed sources when an on the record comment can be attained is VERY irresponsible reporting which damages one's presumption of innocence afforded to every defendant in the United States. I can think of a plethora of examples in high profile cases that the information about evidence that was reported using "unnamed sources" turned out to be complete and utter drivel. However, more often than not, the correction/retraction does not get the headline treatment and people continue to believe a falsehood to be true.

Not saying that is the case with this report rather highlighting the continuously diminishing standards in American news media.

I wonder if it would make a difference if the feds took the lead in the case?

If it becomes a federal case he could get the death penalty.

I know but I was wondering about upping the charge to capital murder with a DP. Like they did with Tsarnaev in Boston. MA doesn't have the DP either if I remember right. I just know the laws are variable between states and it's not set in stone. DC isn't even a state, it's a federal district. Always hopeful...

snippets.
Gutierrez said she was helping Savvas Savopoulos' on May 13

Amy, called him at around 5:30 p.m.

Veralicia Figueroa, was working for the family that day and was scheduled to leave by 3 p.m.

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/05/22/u...t-is-suspect-in-savopoulos-killings.html?_r=0

Philip Savopoulos was in fourth grade at St. Albans. Friends say he traveled around the country racing go-karts and was home from school, recovering from a concussion, the day before the murders occurred.

....................................

We know SS was at the martial arts studio and Philip was home with concussion, VF should have left at 3 but I am sure that was flexible, but has it been said what and where Amy was that day, (13th) until she called SS to come home at 5:30. Is it possible she was out and about and maybe stopped by the AIW office for what ever reason. jmo idk

Here are my thoughts on where Amy was that day, but they are just my opinion.

I think she was home.

Early on, when we heard from VF's husband, he said the call from SS said that VF took AS to the hospital because AS was ill. VF's husband said (or the newspaper article said he said) that this was surprising to him because VF's English was not all that great.

If PS was concussed such that he stayed home from school for a week (as we have read), I am not sure AS would have left him alone with someone who could not communicate if an emergency arose. Now, maybe AS would have left briefly to get milk or run a very quick errand or something, but I just cannot see her leaving her concussed child home with the housekeeper in these circumstances for any length of time.

On a personal note, I would never, ever leave my fully capable 14 year old home alone when I expect my cleaning service to be here. Not to mention the 10 year old. My cleaning lady cleans my house, she does not babysit. I would expect they do not want the liability of watching a child, either. But maybe the S family had a different relationship with VF than I do with mine.

I sure hope LE took the clothing or at least the shoes of the other individuals that were with DW when he was apprehended.

Wouldn't it be suspicious if a surveillance detail assigned to watch these individuals seen them going to a shoe store last night after the news broke of blood evidence being found on DW's shoes? I hope they are sifting through their trash too.
