State Police Issue Gold Alert for Missing Wilmington Man

Delaware State Police Troop 6 has issued a Gold Alert for 43-year-old Jeffrey Fairley of Wilmington, Delaware.

Jeffrey was last seen leaving Christiana Hospital, located at 4755 Ogletown Stanton Road in Newark around 10:00 a.m. on January 28, 2026.

Attempts to contact or locate Jeffrey have been unsuccessful, and there is concern for Jeffrey’s safety and well-being.

Jeffrey is described as a black male, approximately 6’3” tall, weighing about 175 pounds, with brown eyes, shoulder length black hair in dreadlocks, and a goatee. Jeffrey was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, black sneakers, and a blue/black puffy jacket with a hood.

He is in a wheelchair, and his destination is possibly Wilmington.

If you google search his gold alert you get notice from the Delaware State Police that the gold alert has been cancelled (screenshot attached) but if you go to the State Police Facebook page the alert was completely removed. I assume they do that when the alert is no longer active.
