I'm just repeating what was said, not that I necessarily believe it.

Amber Alert: Nola Dinkins’ Abduction Timeline
no mention of father in this one. Just mother. And yet the opening post info states report was made to LE by father. This one says mom pulled over to talk to upset toddler (no mention of outside or inside of car)

3-year-old missing girl abducted at gunpoint in New Castle County: police

An Amber Alert has been issued for three-year-old Nola Dinkins, who police say was abducted at gunpoint in Newark, Delaware.

Officials stated that a mom was talking to her daughter, identified as three-year-old Nola Dinkins, as the girl was outside of the mom's vehicle. While they were chatting, a man approached them at gunpoint and took the girl.

This one Nola is outside the vehicle while mom was inside.

The CBS one recently posted above says "they" got out of the car.

Not diggin this at all MOO BTW mom and her upset toddler were "chatting" on the side of the road? what an odd way for the reporter to describe what sounds like a temper tantrum.

I live in Newark, and will say Gender Rd is not necessarily a place you would be without a specific reason. Kind of in the boonies.
So mom pulls over on a rural road in the boonies and there just happens to be a bald white man with a gun who decides to kidnap your child? side-eying this one...

When I say boonies, our ideas may differ. It's kind of out in the woods but only a couple miles to get back to suburban civilization.

Mom lied about Del. girl's kidnapping, homicide investigation underway, police say

Police in New Castle County say an Amber Alert has been cancelled as a mother's report of her daughter's kidnapping has been determined to be false.

The incident, officials said, is now being investigated as a homicide.

I think there's a grain of truth in the lies. I think Nola was having a temper tantrum. I don't think it was a stranger who hurt her though. No caring parent stays in the car while putting their toddler outside the car to "talk" to them. Were there any other children in the car? JMO and I'm really hoping I'm wrong about this one.

MOO as well. I feel a bit sick to my stomach for this little cutie pie.

yes, In looking at the map, not real populated and more wooded, but not "out in the sticks" so to speak, as some might envision. Just not a lot out there in that particular stretch. I did see where police were searching around a nearby apartment complex overnight.

Makes me wonder where does Nola live? Were they in that area because they live nearby and were headed home?
